UICT Online Application Forms – 2024/2025 Admission

This article contains information on the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT application form and Requirements for admission into Professional, ordinary diploma, certificate and short courses for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON SCHOOL LEAVERS and SPECIAL CASES.

UGANDA INSTITUTE OF ICT ADMISSION APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Step 1: Accessing the Application Portal Link

• Begin by locating the official UICT online application link provided below this page. It is crucial to ensure that the webpage is secure before proceeding with your application.

Step 2: Signup

• Look for and click the orange signup button at the bottom of the page. If the button is not visible, adjust your browser’s zoom settings to see it.
• Upon signing up, a six-digit password will be sent to both your mobile number and your email address. In case of delays or non-delivery of the message to your phone, check your email for the same details.
• Log in using the provided password along with your email address or mobile number.
• You will be prompted to change this password to something more memorable, with a minimum length of six characters.
• After changing the password, the system will direct you back to the login screen to proceed with your new credentials.

Step 3: Filling a Form

• Once logged in, click the “APPLY NOW” button to see the available schemes and read the instructions carefully.
• Complete the application form with the required information. If you’re missing some details, you can save the form and return it later to finalise it.
• After filling out the form completely and submitting it, ensure to log out of the portal.

NB: Verification of documents:

The student is expected to report to the Administrative Officer (Academic) or an officer in charge with the following:

An identity card, 5 passport-size photographs, an original and a photocopy of the admission letter, a certificate /result- slip, and a verified bank pay slip indicating payment of fees.

1. The student will then be issued a registration form to be filled out by the student and verify the authenticity of the documents tendered for admission. The student shall attach a passport-size photograph to the enrollment form.
2. The student’s file shall contain a registration form, a copy of the admission letter, a certificate or result slip, and a bank slip/receipt indicating payment of fees in that order from top to bottom.

• Upon verification of the students’ documents and checking for completeness, the documents will be filed and passed on to the Academic Registrar for signing and stamping.

Registration with the Academic Registrar:

The academic registrar will endorse the student’s registration only if the student has paid half the fees payable for the semester.

After the above process, the student should pick up his/her originals for the Academic Registrar’s Office and also take a passport photograph.

Other Requirements:

Any student who has not registered according to the registration schedule shall be deemed to have declined the offer of a place at the institute.

The Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT) offers undergraduate courses at the diploma level besides those offered at the postgraduate degree level. Prospective students should apply by filling out the application forms before the deadline date, as communicated by the admissions office. Late applications are only accepted if the programme space allows. These should be received not later than two weeks after the start of the appropriate semester, or not later than a week after the beginning of a session.

Once you submit your form, you must pay the application fee for your form to be processed. Otherwise, it will not be processed.
