We are pleased to present to you the 2022 Durban University of Technology, DUT Save soil Competition as well as how to apply. It involves the DUT competition eligibility, requirements and the prizes involved.
The Save Soil is an international movement that raises awareness on the importance of saving soil which is the underlying platform from which all life springs forth. No solution is complete until we become conscious that life is one single complex phenomenon, all of which is happening in unison. If we fix soil, we have the best chance of fixing the whole.

DUT SAVE SOIL COMPETITION PRIZES, REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility to participate
All students wishing to participate in the Essay Contest must meet the following criteria:
- Open to Students and Staff of DUT only
- Videos must be uploaded to youtube and will be judged according to: Impact, Content to savesoil, Creativity, Peoples choice (most likes and comments) and the “Wow” factor.
Prizes
- Winners will be announced on 30 June 2022 via DUT social media pages as well as email
Prizes: - 1st prize for Best Student – R 2000 deposited to students account with DUT T-shirt and Cap.
- 1st prize for best Staff Member – DUT T-shirt, Cap and a corporate gift
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE DUT SAVE SOIL COMPETITION
- Once video has been created and posted on youtube an entry form must be completed and uploaded by 26 June 2022 via the following link https://forms.gle/caWdchtLCU6y8MJo6
Application Deadline
- Applications should reach the Durban University of Technology (DUT) on or before the 26th of June 2022 by midnight.
