FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL HEALTH AND PRODUCTION (Phased out) Requirements:
  • Minimum of (COSC) or equivalent with a pass with Credit in Mathematics, passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Sciences, Combined Science, Additional Combined Science or Agricultural Sciences: Pass with credit in Certificate in Agriculture or equivalent, A pass with at least Second Division in Secondary Teachers Certificate with Agriculture or any other qualification recognized by NUL.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AGRICULTURE (GENERAL):  WITH OPTIONS IN:

Requirements:

  • BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOME ECONOMICS [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS
Requirements:
  • COSC or equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class, a Minimum aggregate of 34 in the best six passed subjects and a Minimum of a lest four (4) credits including Mathematics and an Approved Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, Combinations of Combined and Additional Combined Science, Agricultural Science, Geography, Home Economics/Domestic Science), in COSC or equivalent, plus a minimum of a D (7) in English Language or any other qualification approved by Senate of the National University of Lesotho.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOME ECONOMICS [INDIRECT] – 3 YEARS Requirements: Candidates must possess at least one of the following Categories of qualifications:
  • Pass (50%) in Biology or Chemistry, at least (40%) in the remaining science courses, Overall Weighted Mean of at least 50% and 50% in agricultural core courses.
  • Pass (50%) in Biology or Chemistry, at least 40% in the remaining science courses, Overall Weighted Mean of At least 50% in the common 1st year of Bachelor of Science Programme.
  • Pass with Credit in Diploma in Home Economics and other related fields of study obtained from an institution recognized by Senate of the National University of Lesotho.
Irrespective of the category of qualification possessed, all candidates must meet the English Language Requirement of (COSC grade of 7(D) or better).
FACULTY OF EDUCATION ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION: Requirements:
  • A pass with credit or better at the end of year II with LAC.
TEACHERS’ DIPLOMA IN PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT, CARE AND PROTECTION Requirements:
  • Teachers’ certificate or any equivalent qualification
BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (B.ED.) [DIRECT]- 4 YEARS Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class. Four credits including English Language, a minimum aggregate of 34 in the best six passed subjects and any other equivalent qualifications approved by Senate of NUL on advice of the Faculty of Education.
BACHELOR OF EDUCATION [INDIRECT] – 3 OR 4 YEARS DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION SECONCARY – 3 YEARS Requirements:
  • A minimum pass with 1st or 2nd class in Dip. Ed. Secondary from Lesotho College of Education (LCE), a minimum of Second Class Pass in Secondary Teacher’s Certificate or a Credit in Diploma in Education Secondary. The 2 years’ experience no longer considered.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN EDUCATION (B.SC.ED.): [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class. Four credits including Mathematics aggregate of 34 for the best six passed subjects, an approved science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science and Combination of the Combined Sciences. Human and Social Biology is not an approved Science subject, a minimum of 7(D) in English Language.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN EDUCATION (B.SC.ED.): [INDIRECT] – 4 YEARS Requirements:
  • A pass with credit in Diploma in Science Education; STC; or Diploma in Education (Secondary) A minimum of second class pass in Secondary Teachers Certificate (STC) of Lesotho College of Education, and a major in Science And Mathematics and an equivalent qualifications approved by Senate of NUL on advise of the Faculty of Education.
BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (PRIMARY) – 4 YEARS (PART-TIME) Requirements:
  • Diploma in Education (Primary) – DEP or the Diploma in Primary Education (DPE) offered by the Lesotho College of Education (LCE), plus a minimum of 5 years teaching experience. Any other equivalent qualification as shall be determined by the Senate, must also be practicing teachers.
HIGHER EDUCATION DIPLOMA ADMINISTRATION (HEDA) – 1 YEAR Requirements:
  • Normal entrance qualifications shall be a B.A.Ed., B.Ed. and B.Sc. Ed. Degree (or equivalent) plus a year of teaching experience (or Equivalent).
  • Persons with University Diploma in Education (Second Class) of Higher Education Diploma (Teaching) plus a minimum of three years’ teaching experience (or equivalent) may also be considered upon submission of a good recommendation by the Education Secretary and Inspectorate of Education Ministry concerned.
FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements: For entry into the BSc Environmental Health Degree Program the following shall be the minimum entry requirements
  • Sat for a minimum of 6 (six) subjects in LGCSE examinations
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Mathematics
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Biology or Physical Science
  • Obtained a C grade or better in English Language
  • Obtained a C grade or better in one other subject
  • Obtained a D grade or better in any other two subjects
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: [INDIRECT] – 3 YEARS Admission Requirements: Candidates who meet any of the under-mentioned requirements will be considered for entry into the 2nd Year of the program.
  • Pass the Common First Year examinations of FOST with an OWM of 50 and above and passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and at least an E in one of the Maths.
OR
  • Meet the FOHS 3.02 requirements.
OR
  • Hold a Diploma in Environmental Health or any relevant Bachelor of Science degree from recognised institutions by the Senate of the NUL.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY [DIRECT] – 5 YEARS Requirements Candidates who join the B.Sc. in General Nursing and Midwifery degree programme at first year must satisfy the following requirements
  • Sat for a minimum of 6 (six) subjects in LGCSE examinations
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Mathematics
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Biology or Physical Science
  • Obtained a C grade or better in English Language
  • Obtained a C grade or better in one other subject
  • Obtained a D grade or better in any other two subjects

BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE: [INDIRECT] – 3 YEARS Admission Requirements: Candidates who join the BSc. in General Nursing and Midwifery degree programme at second year must satisfy the following:
  • At least a D PASS in Biology, Chemistry and Physics of the common First year
  • At least a D AVERAGE in both first year mathematics courses
Candidates with other qualifications-Refer to regulation FOHS 3.00 Areas of Specialization offered: Advanced in Medical and Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Primary Care Nursing. BACHELOR OF PHAR-MACY (HONOURS): [DIRECT] – 5 YEARS Admission Requirements: For entry into the B. Pharm (Honours) Degree Program first year, candidates must meet the following requirements;
  • Sat for a minimum of 6 (six) subjects in LGCSE examinations
  • Obtained a B grade or better in Mathematics
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Biology or Physical Science
  • Obtained a C grade or better in English Language
  • Obtained a C grade or better in one other subject
  • Obtained a D grade or better in any other two subjects
BACHELOR OF PHAR-MACY (HONOURS) [INDIRECT] – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements: Candidates who meet any of the under-mentioned requirements will be considered for entry into the 2nd Year of the programme.
  • Pass in the Common First Year examinations with a YEARLY WEIGHTED MEAN of  50% and a minimum of a D pass in Biology, Chemistry, Physics  and two Mathematics courses, (Algebra, Trigonometry, and Analytic Geometry; Calculus I) (both maths courses should be D).
  • Hold a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology in merit or higher division.
  • Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations in Chemistry and Biology and either Physics or Mathematics with a score of at least 4 at higher level in Biology or Chemistry and 3 in Mathematics and Physics at the same level.
  • Pass in Advanced level General Certificate of Education (GCE A-level) examinations with a minimum aggregate of 9 in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NUTRITION: [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements: Candidates who join the B.Sc. Nutrition degree programme at first year must satisfy the following requirements;
  • Sat for a minimum of 6 (six) subjects in LGCSE examinations
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Mathematics
  • Obtained a C grade or better in Biology or Physical Science
  • Obtained a C grade or better in English Language
  • Obtained a C grade or better in one other subject
  • Obtained a D grade or better in any other two subjects
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NUTRITION: [INDIRECT] – 3 YEARS Admission Requirements: Candidates who meet any of the following requirements will be considered for entry into the second year of the programme:
  • Pass the Common First Year examinations of FOST with a YEARLY WEIGHTED MEAN of at least 50% and at least D passes in Chemistry and Biology, at least an E pass in Physics and an E average for the two Mathematics courses
  • Hold a diploma in Nutrition Science, Home Economics, or equivalent, or a relevant Bachelor of Science degree from recognised institutions.
  • Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics with a score of at least 4 in Biology and Chemistry and 3 in either Mathematics or Physics.
  • Passes at GCE Advanced level in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or Physics and an aggregate of at least 9 points.
FACULTY OF HUMANITIES ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
DIPLOMA IN PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING – 2 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 3rd class pass; a pass in English Language; Aggregate not exceeding 40 in the best 6 passed subjects.
DIPLOMA IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION STUDIES (LIS) – 2 YEARS (phased out) Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent with at least a Third Class Pass in six subjects and an aggregate of 40 or better.
DIPLOMA IN APPLIED PHILOSOPHY AND PUBLIC ETHICS – 2 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 3rd class pass; a pass in English Language; Aggregate not exceeding 40 in the best 6 Passed subjects.
BA PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING: [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS BA PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING: [INDIRECT] – 3 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class. 4 credits including English Language, and a minimum aggregate of 34 for the best passed six subjects. Pass with credit in Diploma in Pastoral care and Counseling.
BACHELOR OF HUMANITIES – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN HUMANITIES WITH CONCURRENT CERTIFICATE IN PRACTICAL FRENCH [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class. 4 credits including English language, and a minimum aggregate of 34 for the best six passed subjects.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN HUMANITIES [INDIRECT] – 3 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Pass with credit in Diploma in Pastoral Care and Counseling and Diploma in Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics.

  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd Class. 4 credits including English Language, and a minimum aggregate of 34 for the best six passed subjects.
FACULTY OF LAW ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
LLB – 5 year program Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class. Four credits including English Language. A minimum aggregate of 34 for the best six subjects passed. Any other qualification that may be approved by Senate of NUL on the advice of the Faculty of Law.
LLB – 2 year program Admission Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Arts (Law) degree of NUL or any equivalent degree approved by Senate of NUL on the advice of the Faculty of Law.
LLB – 3 year program Admission Requirements:
  • Any Bachelor’s degree of NUL or equivalent from any institution recognized by NUL Senate on the advice of the Faculty of Law.

Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class, 4 credits including Mathematics and an approved Science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Sciences, a combination of combined and additional Combined Sciences, and a minimum of a D (7) in English Language.
2) SPECIALIZED PROGRAMMES (MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES) – FIRST YEAR [DIRECT] – 4 YEARS B.SC. COMPUTER SCIENCE B.SC. INFORMATION SYSTEMS B.SC. STATISTICS Admission Requirements:
  • A student must have obtained a pass with credit in Mathematics in the COSC examinations or its recognized equivalent as well as a pass with credit in an approved Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science or Physics).
  • A student must have grade D or 7 or equivalent in English Language will be considered for admission. However, some inter-faculty programmes require that the prospective student have a credit instead of a pass in English Language.
  • A student with a grade D or 7 or equivalent, in the approved Science subject, instead of a credit, will be considered for admission into the degree programmes which do not require students to register for Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BIOTECHNOLOGY – 4 ½ YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of BSc. Year II in Biology of NUL or its equivalent.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY – 4 ½ YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of B.Sc. general year 1 with a minimum grade of Physics (D), Chemistry (C) and Mathematics (D).
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (ELECTRONICS) [INDIRECT] – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of B.Sc. Year II in Physics and Mathematics of NUL and its equivalent.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of BS.c Year I in Geography and Environmental Studies of NUL or its equivalent.
BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (B.ENG.) IN COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS – 5 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of B.Sc. Year II in Physics and Computer Science at NUL or its equivalent, Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or its equivalent from other institutions recognized by NUL Senate (normally admitted at Year II).
BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (B.ENG. IN ELECTRONICS) – 5 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of B.Sc. Year II in Physics and Computer Science of NUL or its equivalent, Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC), IGCSE or equivalent in the first or second Division with at least 4 credits including English Language, a grade not lower than 7(D) in mathematics and an aggregate for the six subjects not exceeding 34 and any other qualification that may be approved by the Senate of the National University of Lesotho.
FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
CERTIFICATE IN STATISTICS – 2 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or equivalent in the third class or higher; at least 4 credits, including a credit or higher in Mathematics; at least a D (7) in English Language; a minimum aggregate of 38 for the best six passed subjects.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN STATISTICS AND DEMOGRAPHY (DOUBLE MAJOR) – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • C.O.S.C or equivalent in the first or second class; at least four credits, two of which should be in English Language and Mathematics and a minimum aggregate of 34 in the best six passed subjects. Any graduate from the Certificate in Statistics with a Credit or higher.
BACHELOR OF ACCOUNTING – 4 YEARS BACHELOR OF MARKETING – 4 YEARS BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC in the 1st or 2nd Division, 4 credits including English Language and Mathematics, a minimum Aggregate of 34 in the best six passed subjects. Diploma in Management Studies of the Institute of Extra Mural Studies (IEMS) with a Pass with Distinction/Credit, and at least a pass in C.O.S.C Mathematics and English Language OR
  • Licensed Accountant of the Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS) with at least a pass in C.O.S.C Mathematics and English Language.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ECONOMICS – 4 YEARS The Bachelor of Arts in Economics is offered with three subjects combinations called minors:
  • Economics with minor in Business Administration
  • Economic with minor in Mathematics
  • Economics with minor in Statistics
Admission Requirements:
  • 1st or 2nd class in C.O.S.C. or its equivalent including 4 credits two of which must be in Mathematics and English Language and the Aggregate of 34 or better.

Admission Requirements:
  • 1st or 2nd class in C.O.S.C. or its equivalent including 4 credits one of which must be in English Language and the Aggregate of 34 or better.
  • Or Diploma in Public Administration of the Lesotho Institute of Public Administration and Management (LIPAM) with at least a Pass with Distinction/Credit and at least a Credit in Mathematics at C.O.S.C. for Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration.
BACHELOR OF SOCIAL WORK – 4 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • COSC or its equivalent in the 1st or 2nd class. 4 credits including English Language. A minimum aggregate of 34 for the best six passed subjects.

NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LESOTHO, NUL POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
MASTERS DEGREES: – 2 YEARS (under review)
  • Agricultural Economics
  • Agricultural Extension
  • Crop Science
  • Soil Science
Admission Requirements:
  • B.Sc. Agriculture or equivalent, with a minimum of Second Class, Second Division or C Grade and an average of 70% in all subjects matter courses.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ANIMAL SCIENCE: 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • The prospective candidate must normally hold at least a Second Class Honours degree from a University or Institution recognized by the National University of Lesotho.
  • In addition, the candidate must have achieved a means equivalent to at least Second Class – Second Division (60%) in the courses relevant to the area in which the candidate intends to execute his/her M.Sc. degree research project.

Minimum requirement for admission into Ph.D.:
  • M.Sc degree in the relevant area or its equivalent. The duration of this degree is normally not less than 4 years.
Ph.D. IN ANIMAL SCIENCE (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • Prospective candidates must hold a Master’s degree with Coursework and Thesis in the relevant area of Animal Science, of the National University of Lesotho or an equivalent Institution.
  • Candidates who have not met the M.Sc. coursework requirements of the Department, shall be required to take remedial courses determined by the Department.
FACULTY OF EDUCATION POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (PGDE) – 1 YEAR (FULL-TIME), 2 YEARS (PART-TIME) Admission Requirements:
  • The normal entrance requirements for (PGDE) programme shall be a relevant degree of a recognized university, provided that the degree programme has included a substantial component of studies recognized by the Faculty of Education as teaching subjects.
  • Applicants are expected to have majored in two teaching subjects at undergraduate level.
B.Ed (Honours) Admission Requirements: 
  • The normal entrance requirements shall be a minimum of a credit in PGDE or  2:2 in B.Ed Secondary, B.Ed Primary or any other equivalent qualification.

FACULTY OF HUMANITIES POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES Admission Requirements:
  • At least second class 2nd division (2:2) with Mean 60 in the Social Sciences, Humanities and/or any related preferred junior degree recognized by NUL.Advance certificate in Development Studies, with at least 3 Credits in development related subjects, with 4 years continuous work experience in the institution or agency recognized by DS department and its Faculty.Equivalent criteria as may be approved by DS department and its Faculty.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN DIPLOMATIC STUDIES – 1 YEAR Admission Requirements:
  • BA History, Cultural and Heritage Studies, Environmental History or any first degree with an average of 60%. Students with equivalent qualifications from NUL or any other universities are considered for admission.
BA (HONOURS) IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LINGUISTICS – 1 YEAR BA (HONOURS) IN LITERATURE IN ENGLISH– 1 YEAR. Admission Requirements:
  • An average of 60% or above in English Language and a II (ii) average in the 4 years of undergraduate programme.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN PHILOSOPHY (HONOURS) – 1 YEAR Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of BA in at least Second Class Second Division category. Any other qualifications that may be approved by NUL Senate.
MASTER OF ARTS IN THEOLOGY & RELIGIOUS STUDIES MODE II (THESIS & COURSEWORK) – 2 YEARS (under review) MASTER OF ARTS IN PHILOSOPHY – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • An appropriate attainment of Bachelor’s Degree Honours of NUL or an equivalent qualification from NUL or other universities. An Overall Weighted Mean of 65% with all the courses passed at Honours level.
MASTER OF ARTS IN AFRICAN LANGUAGES & LITERATURE – 2 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • BA in the categories of Second Class First Division II (i) or Second Class Second Division II (ii) with an average of at least 65% in the core and required courses for either languages or literature.
  • Students with equivalent qualifications from other universities as may be approved by the Senate of NUL on the advice of the Faculty of Humanities.
MASTER OF ARTS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LINGUISTICS (ELL) – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • A good first degree from NUL at the level of 1st class, II (i) and II (ii) with an average of at least 65% in the core and required Courses for either Language or Literature. Students with equivalent Qualifications from NUL or other universities are acceptable.
MASTER OF ARTS IN ENGLISH LITERATURE – 2 YEARS (FULL TIME) – 4 YEARS (PART-TIME) Admission Requirements:
  • Candidates should have at least a 2 (ii) BA (Honours) in Literature in English of the National University of Lesotho or an equivalent qualification from other universities recognized by NUL Senate.
MASTER OF ARTS IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements: Candidates must possess at least one of the following Categories of qualifications:
  • A minimum of Second Class First Division in relevant Social Sciences or Humanities subjects or a combination of both;
  • A minimum of Second Class, Second Division 2(ii) BA with 65% mean score in Development Studies courses at BA Level or;
  • Equivalent qualifications from other institutions as might be approved by NUL Senate on the advice of the department.
MASTER OF ARTS IN HISTORY – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • BA History, Cultural and Heritage studies, Environmental History at the level of at least Second Class Second Division 2
  • Any other qualifications that may be approved by the NUL Senate, on the advice of the department and Faculty.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN LABOUR LAW (CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION) – 1 YEAR Admission Requirements:
  • Any Bachelor’s degree recognized by NUL Senate on the advice of the Faculty of Law. Candidates without a Bachelor’s degree will be awarded a Diploma in Labour Law, (Conciliation and Arbitration).
LLM MASTER’S DEGREE – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • LLB degree in at least a Second Class, Second Division category with a minimum of 60% pass in a chosen field of specialization.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (HRM) [PART-TIME] – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • The minimum entry requirements will normally be a Bachelor’s Degree in any field of Social Sciences, and or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources Management.
  • A limited number of professional qualifications with substantial knowledge in the field of Human Resources Management will be considered, but applicants may have to sit for any admission test and/or take remedial courses.
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ECONOMICS – 1 YEAR (BRIDGING) Admission Requirements:
  • BA Economics with a minimum of pass or better or any other relevant qualification that may be approved by the NUL Senate on the advice of the Department and Faculty.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ECONOMICS – 2 YEARS Admission Requirements:
  • BA Economics with a minimum of Second Class Second Division or any other relevant qualification that may be approved by NUL Senate on the advice of the department and Faculty.
MASTER OF ARTS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE/PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION – 2 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • BA/BSc. in the Second Class Second Division category Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Political Science, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Sociology and Public Administration with Sociology all obtained at NUL.
  • Any other qualifications equivalent to BA/BSc obtained from an academic institution recognized by the NUL Senate.
MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK (FULL-TIME) 2 – 3 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Social Work or its equivalent in the categories of First Class and/or Second Class Division or Advanced Diploma from recognized institutions.
MASTER OF SOCIOLOGY (FULL-TIME) 2 – 3 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • BA Sociology or its equivalent in the categories of First Class and/or Second Class Divisions.
PH.D IN SOCIOLOGY 4 – 5 YEARS (under review) Admission Requirements:
  • Masters in Sociology or related field.
