WCED Admission 2026: Application Closing Dates
This article contains the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) Admission application deadline for the 2026 academic year. It also contains a link to the WCED application information and the application portal.
The management of the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has opened the admissions portal for all learners that are interested in applying for admission at different schools in Western Cape. Specific dates and deadlines have been set for admission, registration as well as the closure of the admissions portal. It is advisable to apply early because of the limited admission slots available at WCED as late entry would not be permitted.
The application deadline or closing date is always an application submission timeline that is set by WCED for admission at any learners level. Western Cape schools usually have their submission deadlines within March and April every year.
Therefore, it is expected for the applicants to meet the WCED’s minimum admission Policy and admission requirements before proceeding with the application.
WESTERN CAPE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT (WCED) APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applicants are required to take note of the application deadline below:
- Applications will be available from 4 August – 18 August 2025. Once you click SUBMIT at the end you will not be able to change the learner details or the selected schools. You may choose to SAVE and RETURN to the application, but you must click SUBMIT before 18 August 2026.
- The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) Application Portal is expected to shut down on the same date at 11:59 PM.
