PARAMOUNT AVIATION ACADEMY ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS

Application to Paramount Aviation Academy, PAA, is basically divided into 2 categories: South African applicants and International applicants. Kindly follow the instructions stated below.

South Africa Applicants Application Procedure

South African Students Admissions differs from International Students Admissions. For more information on enrollment requirements and our admissions process, contact PAA Admissions Team.

South African Students

International Applicants Application Procedure

You need to apply for a study visa through the South African Embassy in your country. An initial deposit of $2000.00 has to be paid into our bank account. We will issue you with an acceptance letter for 24 months. The fee paid will include the compulsory medical cover required by the embassy and an initial PPL kit. We make use of a reputable health insurance company which provides the most comprehensive coverage.

Foreign Licence Validation

To Validate your foreign PPL or CPL licence in South Africa, you will need to participate in the following processes:

• A lecture on South African procedural law aspects and the use of the different types of airspaces
• Complete the Air Law exam, which consists of a multiple-choice exam scenario lasting 30 minutes
• One hour of preparation flight on a C172 in which basic flying aspects will be addressed as well as hot and high operations.
• Flight test, which will include a cross-country as well as a general handling skills test
• Validation of the paperwork at the SACAA offices

• Pilot’s Logbook
• Valid Pilot Licence
• Any other documentation pertaining to your pilot’s licence

UPLOAD SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

Everyone applying for a new qualification must submit the required documents (all first-time applicants and Paramount Aviation Academy students starting a new qualification). The due date for uploading the required documents is the closing date for applications. No documents submitted after the closing date for applications will be accepted.

Paramount Aviation Academy (PAA does not provide scanners or electronic devices. Please ensure that your documents are scanned and uploaded to an electronic device before starting the application process.

PARAMOUNT AVIATION ACADEMY APPLICATION FEE

This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Paramount Aviation Academy, PAA, do not qualify for admission into the institution or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. Paramount Aviation Academy (PAA does not accept cash at any of its offices.

The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed. Please ensure that you keep a copy of your proof of payment.

Make sure that your application is complete

If your application for admission to study through Paramount Aviation Academy (PAA is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.

PARAMOUNT AVIATION ACADEMY APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:

1. An original, certified copy of your ID
2. An original, certified copy of your Passport (for international students only)
3. An original certified copy of any qualification obtained, plus academic transcripts / latest results
