ROSOND Bursary 2023 | How to Apply

The application for the ROSOND Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by ROSOND for all South Africans in South Africa. 

Scholarship

ROSOND hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. ROSOND has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students at the undergraduate level. ROSOND has allocated a bursary fund specifically for the following fields below.

ROSOND BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

Eligible courses are:

  • Data Science
  • Engineering
  • Finance
  • Geology
  • Information Technology
  • Management
  • Mining
  • Supply Chain

Bursaries will be awarded to students residing within target areas, in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, North-West, Northern-Cape provinces, for studies within the following fields stated above.

Candidate Requirements

  • Certified ID Copy
  • Certified Matric Certificate / Certified copy of Academic Record
  • Copy of your current Financial Statement from the institution
  • A Motivational Letter stating why the bursary should be awarded to you. Proof of Address ( bursary is only open to below areas)
  • Proof of registration with a tertiary institution
  • Proof of household income (bank statements)
  • Sworn Affidavit

HOW TO APPLY FOR ROSOND BURSARY

Gauteng:

  • City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality: Soweto, Ekurhuleni Local Municipality (Mayibuye, Phomolong, Tembisa, Rabie Ridge, Kaalfontein, Ivory Park, Klipfontein), West Rand District Municipality: Kagiso, Carletonville (Kokosi, Greens Park, Wedela, Simunye, Bekkersdal, Hillshaven, Glenharvie, Poortjie, Mohlakeng/ Randfontein, Blybank)

KwaZulu-Natal:

  • Richards Bay, Mbonambi, Sokhulu, Dube and surrounding areas

Limpopo:

  • Thabazimbi Local Municipality: Regorogile (Ext 1 to 7), Apiesdoring 9 (Thabazimbi x 12), Smash Block Informal Settlement, Jabulani Informal Settlement: Northam, Rooiberg, Setaria, Rajputi (Leeupoort)

North West:

  • Moses Kotane Municipality (Mogwase), Baphalane Villages (Ramokoka/ Phalane, Bojating, Mmorogong, Mantserre, Phadi/ Pylkop, Tweelaagte), Local Bafokeng Villages (Bobua Mpya, Chaneng, Freedom Park, Kanana, Lefaragatlhe, Lesung, Luka/ Mogono, Luke South, Mabitse, Mafenya, Maika, Maile/ Diepkuil), Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Villages (Moruleng 0318, Lesetlheng 0374, Disake, Mokgalwaneng, Matlametlong, Ngweding, Ramoshi Botswana, Mopane, Kraalhoek)

Northern Cape:

  • Boichoko, Newtown, Maranteng, White City, Stasie, Postdene, Carrination, Groenwater, Danielskuil, Janhaven, Maremane, Skuyfontein, Griekwastad, Lewatle, Mapoteng, Olifantshoek, Kathu, Deben, Babatas

(Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted – please apply before the closing date to ensure your application is considered.)

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 19 October 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
