ETDP SETA  Bursary 2023/2024 | How to Apply

The application for the ETDP SETA  Bursary for the academic year 2024/2024 is now open by ETDP SETA for all South Africans in South Africa. 

Scholarship

The ETDP SETA hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2023/2024 Bursary. The ETDP SETA has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the  finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students in the second year and postgraduate levels, in fields of study listed below.

The aim of the ETDP SETA bursary programme is to give opportunities for workers and the unemployed in the Education, Training and Development sector in entering and gaining qualifications in Occupations in High Demand (OIHD) (intermediate and high level) identified through the Sector Skills Plan.

An ETDP SETA bursary is worth R50 000 per year for an NQF level 7 qualification, or R60 000 per year for an NQF level 8 and R65 000 for NQF level 9 (Masters) qualification.

ETDP SETA  BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

The targeted beneficiaries for the ETDP SETA bursary programme include:

  • Unemployed South Africans from previously disadvantaged backgrounds who want to specialise in the ETD sector – especially in critical skills that don’t have much people
  • Employed South Africans from previously dis-advantaged backgrounds who want to speciaise in an ETD field of study that features in the ETDP SETA SSP because there is a shortage in that field

Bursaries are currently awarded for the following programmes based on their contribution to meeting scarce skills:

  • Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Science
  • B.Com
  • BSc Applied Mathematics
  • Masters in Commerce
  • ACE in Leadership and Management
  • Computer Studies
  • Public Finance

  • Please as at the time of the publication of this post, the ETDP SETA bursary application and dates for 2024 academic year has not yet been released.
  • Once it’s released we’ll keep you informed.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before [TBA]. Late applications will not be considered.
