UWC Financial Aid Online Application: 2022
The application for the University of Western Cape (UWC) Financial Aid for the year 2022 its Universityis now open for all South African students studying at University of Western Cape in South Africa.
The University of Western Cape is inviting all suitable candidates who are in pursuit of qualifications at it’s University to apply for funding for the 2021 academic year through a UWC Financial aid scheme.
UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN CAPE (UWC) FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION GUIDELINE
- Application for financial assistance does not guarantee assistance.
- You might be expected to make a contribution towards your fees depending on the EFC (Expected Family Contribution) as per FA Means Test (Means Test is an examination into the financial state of a person to determine eligibility for public assistance)
- Preference for funding will be given to full time Registered students.
- This form provides the University with personal information and is accorded the strictest confidentiality. It is used to assess your Financial Eligibility for UWC assistance.
- Misrepresentations, omissions or false information will result in rejection. Should you willfully forge documents or submit false information (commit fraud) UWC will take action against you.
- Failure to provide required supporting financial documentation (e.g. Salary slips, pension slips, etc.) will result in your application being rejected.
- Supporting documents should not be older than 3 months of submission
- All copies should be certified as true copies within 3 months of submission
- We advise you to apply to other bursary donors as well. The UWC bursary brochure can be obtained from the Financial Aid Helpdesk, Prefabs behind the Administration Building.
- The Financial Aid Office will inform you via e-mail of the result of your application.
- To avoid disappointment and to ensure that you receive correspondence from the University, please ensure that your contact details on the University database is correct.
- Only fully completed application forms will be accepted.
UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN CAPE (UWC) FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- Applications are only open to South African Citizens
- Undergraduate & Post Graduate recognised programs (Preference given to Full Time registered students)
- Your application for funding will be assessed based academic performance and Financial Eligibility (means test)

HOW TO APPLY:
- Application is only done online. Kindly go to: https://uwcfinaid.uwc.ac.za/Applications/MyStatus to complete the online application form,
- Fill in your UWC Student Number and Password, then click on login to proceed
- Kindly submit after attaching the necessary documentation,
 APPLICATIONS DATES AND DEADLINE
- Seniors can apply 1 June till End October
- New first years 15 January till End February
