The registration is done via the ITS iEnabler, which is a self-help/online system. The system is accessible off-campus for convenience. You don’t have to stand in long lines, and you don’t have to come to campus. This guide will enable you to process your online registration successfully.

SPU REGISTRATION GUIDELINES AND PORTAL
Visit the Sol Plaatje University Student Portal to start your registration
- Step 1: Select student
- Enter your Student Number and Pin
- Log on
- Step 2: Select Academic Registration drop-down menu on the left as indicated
- Step 3: Note that you must have an admitted admission status for the qualification you are registering for.
- Step 4: Check that you do not have registration restrictions, such as Finance, NSFAS, international, etc. If you do have restrictions, your registration will not go through. You will need to contact the respective department so that they can remove the hold before you can proceed.
- Step 5: View and access the rules and regulations. You will not be allowed to proceed unless these are accepted. Once you have accepted the Rules and Regulations agreement,.
- Step 6: • Select Add Subjects to a registration
- The details of your qualifications will be displayed.
- Select qualification code, highlighted in blue
- Verification Process: You can verify your selection; if satisfied, click continue. The registration cost will be displayed.
- Final step:
- Congratulations! You are officially registered.
- View, print, or save your proof of registration.
Please note that registration for 2024 will be open after admissions have been completed.
Online registration for second semester modules is open. Please note that registration for the 2024 second semester is only for returning students, i.e., those who have modules to complete. There is no second-semester intake for new students.
REGISTRATION STEPS FOR NEW STUDENTS
STEP 1: VERIFICATION
- Student to present firm offer letter for entry (Security and School to check)
- OR Student to present proof of registration for entry (if already registered) ONLY THE STUDENT TO PROCEED TO COMPUTER LAB (not accompanied by anyone)
STEP 2: ONLINE ACADEMIC REGISTRATION: Computer Labs
- Register online in the Computer Labs by using student number on firm offer letter
- School Registration Support Team, School Registrar, and School Admin to assist students in computer labs.
- The student will print proof of registration at the venue (3 copies)
STEP 5: RESIDENCE REGISTRATION
- VENUE: EXAM HALL (MOROKA RESIDENCE BUILDING)
- Student to produce proof of registration for final registration in residence.
STEP 3: STUDENT CARD (Only first-year students)
- VENUE: LIBRARY GROUND FLOOR
- Students must present proof of registration before a student card will be issued.
- Students who registered themselves online and did not make use of the computer labs may go directly to this point (remember to bring with you proof of registration).
STEP 4: LAPTOP
- VENUE: ICT Department (situated at the side of Moroka Hall of Residence next to Scanlan Street)
- Students must present their student card before a laptop will be issued.
