    TUT Reappoints Two Executive Deans and Senior Director in Affirmation of Excellent Women Leaders.

    The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has reappointed two Executive Deans and a Senior Director, in affirmation of the excellent women leaders at the institution. The reappointments come as part of TUT’s ongoing commitment to gender equity and to recognizing and supporting the leadership contributions of women in higher education.

    According to the announcement, the reappointments include Prof. Nalini Moodley-Diar, who will serve a second term as Executive Dean: Faculty of the Arts and Design. Prof. Polly Mashigo has also been reappointed as Executive Dean for the Faculty of Economics and Finance. Dr Mumthaz Boonabhai will serve another term as Senior Director at the Directorate of Higher Education Development Support (HEDS).

    “We are proud to reappoint Prof. Nalini Moodley-Diar, Prof. Polly Mashigo and Dr. Mumthaz Boonabhai, who are all exceptional leaders and have made significant contributions to TUT. We believe that these reappointments send a strong message of support to women leaders at TUT and in the wider higher education community,” said a spokesperson for the university.

    The reappointments were made after a rigorous selection process, which involved consultation with faculty and staff members, as well as input from external experts in the relevant fields. The process was designed to ensure that the best candidates were selected for the positions and that the university’s commitment to gender equity was upheld.
