More than anything, an MBA is structured to turn a manager into a holistic leader capable of steering an organisation and its people to success. The MBA gives you access to continue your studies towards a DBL, providing you meet the admission requirements of the DBL.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AFRICA, UNISA MBA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Honours Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma, with a minimum 120 credits, OR a 480-credit Bachelor’s Degree. Please supply a copy of your transcript, indicating the symbol or percentage obtained for each module and indicating whether or not the qualification was completed.
- Original documentary proof of at least three years’ managerial/ professional work experience.This could include a letter from your employer on an official letterhead, indicating your period of service. Alternatively a certificate of service could be provided. Applicants operating their own business, should submit a statement from their auditor, accountant, attorney or partner.
- A recent Curriculum Vitae.
- Supply a clear copy of Identity Document or Passport. A copy of driver’s licence will NOT be accepted.
- Once the application is successful, applicants may be required to write an admissions test as part of the selection process.
The Graduate School of Business Leadership may institute additional selection criteria as deemed necessary.

University of South Africa, UNISA MBA Application Procedures
Applications for admission to Unisa’s graduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees) will be open from 1 September to 30 November 2024. Kindly check for late application deadline Here.
Unisa may, however, open applications for qualifications where there is space available.
Please take note of the following:
- All applications for admission must be submitted online. No self-help stations will be available for applications at the regional offices.
- Admission to a qualification is not automatic. It will depend on whether you comply with the admission requirements and if space is available.
Registration
Unisa will send the necessary information about registration dates and the registration process to all successful applicants who have confirmed their acceptance of Unisa’s offer. Visit www.unisa.ac.za/register for registration information.
Application fee
Pay the online application fee of R115,00 once you have received your Unisa student number.
Please note:
- The application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa or do not qualify for admission to Unisa.
- An application for a student number does not constitute an application for admission. After you receive your student number, you must still complete the online application for admission and upload the compulsory supporting documents.
