Profile of Bethel University Zambia
The idea of a university in Barotseland is the brainchild of the visionaries of Bethel University, Mwenda and Likezo Mulundano, who happen to be the founding vice chancellor and registrar of Rusangu University (formerly Zambian Adventist University), respectively.
The motivation for this duo is their love for God, which they are determined to share with others through Christian education. They had Bethel University registered by the Government of the Republic of Zambia through PACRA in January 2012.
With much courage and determination, they took a gigantic step of faith, stepped “into the waters” as it were, and started the project in a very humble way. The need for a Christian institution of higher learning in this part of Zambia was long overdue and indeed unquestionable.
