Chreso has learned firsthand that there is a great need for qualified stuff due to the limited university facilities in the country of Zambia. It was discovered that only 6% of those students leaving primary school have an opportunity to continue with their education, and only 3% have been able to go to a university in Zambia.

Chreso University was founded by Chreso Ministries in 2010 after securing a great facility in the south-east part of Lusaka. Chreso University was granted a licence by the Ministry of Education and accredited by the International Accreditation Organisation (IAO), based in Texas, USA. It is also a member of the Logos Educators Network in Florida, USA. The university initially concentrates on health, business, and theological and ministry studies.
