TCZ Practicing License 2023 | How to Apply

This article contains information on how to apply for the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) 2023 practicing license as a prospective certified teacher in Zambia.

In order to become a teacher in Zambia, be it as a Citizen or as a foreigner, there are certain requirements you must meet up with. You must study to achieve a teaching degree before you can consider looking for suitable jobs. However, if you are keen to know exactly what you need to do to become a professional teacher in Zambia, then you should be looking at applying to get a TCZ Practicing License.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE TEACHING COUNCIL OF ZAMBIA (TCZ) PRACTICING LICENSE

Check it on TCZ website www.tcz.ac.zm or use the direct link www.tcz.ac.zm/certification/

Steps: (details)

Check the fee according to category you want to pay and apply for

1. Deposit the fee at either NATSAVE (TCZ deposit slip) or ZANACO (bill Muster)
2. Open the TCZ practising certificate link www.tcz.ac.zm/certification
3. Subscribe
   1. Enter your TCZ number
   2. Enter your NRC, Non Zambian Passport Number
   3. Create your own password (better mixed letters & numbers more secure that way)
   4. Confirm your password
   5. Click Subscribe
4. Click on Teacher Login
   1. Enter your TCZ number
   2. Enter password
   3. Click login
5. Select Apply for certification
   1. Select option served
   2. Select number of years served
   3. Select qualifications
   4. Select class
   5. Upload your passport size photo
   6. Upload the photo of your signature
   7. Upload the computer printed deposited slip
   8. Type the reference number on the computer printed deposited slip. If more than one ref no use the slash (/) to separate the numbers. e.g. 473480000000000/236790000099900
6. Click Apply

*Note Important* The good news is that all the teachers with the TCZ number can apply for *practicing certificate* even if they have not yet received the registration certificates
