EGERTON UNIVERSITY 48TH GRADUATION LIST FOR 2024
Egerton University, as the institution, joyfully announces its 48th Graduation Ceremony set for Friday 29th November 2024. The event, commencing at 9:00 AM at the Njoro Campus, will honour students who have successfully completed their respective courses during the 2023/2024 academic year. All attendees, including guests, are requested to be seated by 8:30 AM.
Further information regarding preparations for the ceremony is detailed below:
1. CONFIRMATION OF EXAMINATION RESULTS
It is the responsibility of each prospective graduand to confirm his/her EXAMINATION RESULTS by contacting their respective Deans’ offices. The results are also available in the student portal.
2. PAYMENT OF GRADUATION AND ALUMNI FEES
The following are the mandatory fees for the various categories of graduands with or without the cost of hiring graduation attire.

Before the graduation day, students are required to clear any outstanding fees with the finance department. The clearing process also involves payment of graduation and alumni fees, which vary depending on the degree being conferred. Payment should be made at any Kenya Commercial Bank branch into the Egerton University Account No. 1107933919, with the student’s registration number indicated.
3. ORDER OF NAMES ON CERTIFICATE
Prospective graduands must ensure that their names are in the order in which they shall appear on the final certificate (without initials) and should be the same as in previous certificates, the admission letter, and supported by the National Identification Card. Any correction thereafter shall attract a fee.
APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION
A. ADMISSION SINCE 2015
All prospective graduands who were admitted since 2015 are required to apply for graduation
online through their student portal as follows:
i. Apply for clearance by Finance from the student portal under “Clearance application” by Friday, 4th October 2024.
Postgraduate Graduands will be cleared for graduation by both the Board of Post Graduate Studies and Finance Department.
ii. Once cleared by Finance, apply for graduation under “Graduation application”
by Friday, 18th October 2024.
B. ADMISSION SINCE 2014 AND BEFORE
All prospective graduands who were admitted in 2014 and before are required to fill online
and download the “Application for Graduation Form” from selfcare.egerton.ac.ke.
i. Visit the link above and click on apply for graduation icon.
ii. Create an account by submitting a valid email address, and a password (The email
must be working because all communications thereafter will be done through this
address).
iii. You will receive an email to activate your account.
iv. Log in with your email and password and fill the form and submit.
v. You will receive a download link for the “Application for Graduation Form”.
Download and print three copies to be submitted to your faculty during collection of
your certificate.
EXAMINATION RESULTS
The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective deans of faculties or schools during working hours.
LIST OF GRADUANDS
The Provisional Graduation List will be posted on the University website on Monday, 28th October 2024
Any potential graduand whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his or her school immediately.
VERIFICATION OF ACADEMIC RECORDS AND ORDER OF NAMES
Candidates should verify and confirm the order of names as they are to appear on the certificate. This arrangement should be consistent with previous certificates, admission letters, and must match the details on the National Identification Card. Corrections, if any, should be submitted by Monday, 2nd October 2023.

REHEARSAL
All graduands who wish to participate in the ceremony and have paid all fees MUST attend the rehearsal on Thursday, 28th November 2024 at 9.00 a.m. All graduands attending the rehearsal should be seated by 9.30 a.m. and be in complete academic attire.
PUNCTUALITY
Graduands must take seats by 8.00 am and invited guests are expected to be seated by 9.00 am.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The prospective graduands are encouraged to visit graduation.egerton.ac.ke to access more information on the 48th graduation ceremony including downloading the programme, graduation booklet, Newslink magazine and graduation etiquette. The website will be activated during the graduation week as from 25th November 2024. This website will feature graduation speakers, a section where parents, friends and guardians can share graduation messages and photos, live stream details and responses to frequently asked questions (FAQs).
