JOMO KENYATTA UNIVERSITY 35TH GRADUATION LIST/CEREMONY FOR 2020
This is to inform all candidates who qualified for conferment of degrees and the award of diplomas of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology during the 2022/2023 academic year that the 35th Graduation Ceremony will be held virtually on Friday, 18th December 2020 from 8.00.am. The information regarding preparations for the ceremony is as detailed below:. Graduands are advised to check below for the full list of graduands.
The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor and other councils who will award Diplomas and Certificates and confer Degrees.

Examination Results
The results of examinations sat in the 2022/2023 academic year will be available from the offices of the respective Deans/Directors of Schools/Campuses /Institutes during working hours. Qualified candidates should confirm the inclusion of their names in the graduation list with their respective Deans/Directors, latest Monday, 30th November 2020.
Clearance & Fees
A non-refundable fee as stated below must be paid not later than Friday 11th December, 2020. Payments will be made to the University bank accounts at any of the branches of the banks listed below:-

In addition, graduands must have cleared any fees arrears and all other dues owed to the University by the said date, failure to which will lead to disqualification from the ceremony. Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
The list of graduands for the 35th Graduation Ceremony will be available on the website www.jkuat.ac.ke. To avoid any penalties, all candidates should confirm the order and correctness of spelling in their names as they should appear on their certificates from Monday, 7th December 2020. This confirmation will be done through filling in the relevant form which is maintained in the respective Schools.
Rehearsals
Graduands wishing to participate in the ceremony MUST attend the virtual rehearsals on Thursday, 17th December 2020 at 10.00 a.m. Vital information will be communicated during the rehearsal. Please note that graduation attire will not be issued on the rehearsal day.
Graduation Gowns
Graduands who wish to hire gowns are required to apply and pay as stated above. The forms can be downloaded from the University website, www.jkuat.ac.ke. Gowns will be issued from Friday, 11th December 2020 up to Wednesday, 16th December 2020 during working hours. Graduation attire must be returned by Friday, 8th January 2021 latest; after which a penalty of KShs. 500 (Kenya shillings five hundred only) will be charged per day.
Punctuality and invitation Card
A link will be shared with the graduands for them to join the ceremony virtually. On the graduation day, graduands and their guests will be expected to have joined the virtual meeting by 7.30 a.m.
