The application for the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government Bursary for the academic year 2023/2024 is now open by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government for all South Africans in South Africa.  

Scholarships

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2023/2024 bursary. The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise, and work opportunities related to the finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students at the undergraduate level. KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government has allocated a bursary fund.

KWAZULU-NATAL PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY 

Candidate Requirements 

  • The applicant must be a South African citizen and a resident of KwaZulu-Natal province.
  • The applicant must be currently enrolled or have been accepted to study at a recognized South African public higher education institution.
  • The applicant must have a strong academic record and meet the minimum academic requirements for the particular bursary program.
  • The applicant must demonstrate financial need and may be required to provide proof of income.
  • The applicant must be studying in a field of study that is aligned with the priority skills areas identified by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government.

HOW TO APPLY FOR KWAZULU-NATAL PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT BURSARY 

Applications must be submitted online at:

Kindly attach the following documents: 

  • Original certified copy of an official statement of results as well as official proof of bachelor’s certificate (matriculation exemption) if it is a requirement for the course of study.
  • An original certified copy of your official study record showing marks, symbols, percentages obtained in all examinations written (including matriculation examination)
  • Original certified copy of your ID as well as parents / guardians.
  • Copy of admission requirements from an academic institution.
  • Detailed copy of curriculum
  • Income and expenditure statement of parent/legal guardian
  • Original certified death certificate/s of parents
  • Letter of motivation.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS 

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 31 March 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
