Application for the Mount Kenya University, MKU Foundation Scholarship Applications – 2022 Entry is now open by the Mount Kenya University Foundation for all outstanding Students at the Mount Kenya University in Kenya.

Mount Kenya University Foundation is the charitable arm of Mount Kenya University. The Foundation was established to co-ordinate several activities that the University has been undertaking in aid of students and alumni. Its programmes are geared towards harnessing public and private support that benefits the educational, research and community service mandates of the University. The Foundation provides a structured avenue for alumni, friends, corporations, institutions and philanthropists to give gifts and donations

Mount Kenya University through the Foundation is glad to advertise for scholarship opportunities to ALL students studying at Mount Kenya University across all its campuses in Kenya. This scholarship programme is strictly meant to cover tuition fees. Scholarships valued at Ksh. 5 million will be on offer.

  • Study subject: All Undergraduate Programmes
  • Campus: All MKU Campuses and Centers in Kenya
  • Scholarship Award: Selected students will be awarded a scholarship equivalent to ONE SEMESTER TUITION FEE paid directly to the University.

The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in Kenya. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.

MKU CHANCELLOR’S SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Scholars are selected on the following criteria:

  1. Scholarship is open to ALL undergraduate students studying at Mount Kenya University irrespective of their Nationality.
  2. The mode of study MUST be regular
  3. The student MUST be in session during May – August 2022 semester
  4. The student MUST demonstrate good academic records.
  5. The student MUST have completed one academic year at MKU
  6. The student MUST demonstrate that he/she is needy.
  7. The student MUST have a good disciplinary record.

NOTE: The decision of the University Scholarship Vetting Committee will be final.

MKU CHANCELLOR’S SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

To apply for the scholarship, interested students should pick an application form from Mount Kenya University Foundation Office (MKU Thika Campus, Alumni Plaza, 9th Floor, Room 916) or download the form from the website www.mkufoundation.org or download a copy here

Application documents in both hard and soft copies should be submitted by Monday, 14th March 2022 at the close of business. Duly filled application forms should be submitted as BOTH soft and hard copies as follows:

1. Soft Copy

The applicant must scan and produce electronic copies of the application form and the necessary attachments, convert them to PDF and mail to   mkufoundation@mku.ac.ke

2. Hard Copy

The application letter should be addressed as follows;

  • MKU Internal Scholarship Application Documents
  • Mount Kenya University Foundation
  • Alumni Plaza, 9th Floor, Room 916
  • P.O. Box 342-01000
  • THIKA

The application documents should be delivered to the Foundation office (for Thika Campus applicants), or at the respective Campus Director’s Office (for applicants in Campuses and Centers)

CLOSING DATE: 14TH MARCH 2022 at 1700 HRS
