Moi University was established by the Government in mid-1984 and building work on the site near Eldoret, commenced in the following year. The university Administration moved from its temporary offices in Eldoret to present main campus (Kesses), Uasin Gishu County on July 29, 1986. the University has experienced phenomenal growth from its initial one faculty in 1984, to a total of 15 Schools, nine Directorates and two Institutes presently.The total student population currently is over 52, 000, distributed across Diploma, Undergraduate, Masters, Postgraduate Diploma and Doctorate of Philosophy programmes in diverse fields.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON SCHOOL LEAVERS and SPECIAL CASES.
MOI UNIVERSITY MASTER OF SCIENCE (HEALTH INFORMATICS) ADMISSION APPLICATION GUIDELINES
- Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Application forms can be obtained from the Directors office, Institute of Biomedical Informatics or downloaded from Moi University website. (www.mu.ac.ke)
- Application forms should be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2,000/= in form of Banker’s cheques or Orders payable to Moi University. Foreign applicants to pay US$ 40
- NB: Students should arrange to pay for their own accommodation, living expenses, transport, textbooks and stationery.
MOI UNIVERSITY MASTER OF SCIENCE (HEALTH INFORMATICS) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Meet the common Moi University College of Health Sciences entry requirements as they refer to Master of Science Programmes.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the Health Sciences from Moi University or its equivalent from other institutions approved by Moi University Senate OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or Information Science from Moi University or its equivalent from other institutions approved by Moi University Senate. OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any other field from Institutions approved by Moi University Senate plus a Diploma from Kenya Medical Training College (and experience practicing in the Health field)
- If from foreign countries, show evidence of proficiency in English language.
- Pass admission interviews as determined by the Institute of Biomedical Informatics Post-graduate Committee.
