MOUNT KENYA UNIVERSITY 17TH GRADUATION LIST FOR 2019

Mount Kenya University, MKU will hold its 17th Graduation ceremony for 2019 on 6th of December, 2019 by 10.00 a.m at the Mount Kenya University Graduation Pavillion Grounds, Thika Garissa Road. Graduands are advised to check below for the full list of graduands.

The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor Prof. John Struthers who will award Diplomas and Certificates and confer Degrees.

The information regarding preparations for the ceremony is detailed below:

Examination Results

The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective Deans of Faculties/Schools during working hours.

Any potential graduand whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his/her School immediately.

Note:
Online clearance for graduation should be done through the University Management Information System click here
Candidates whose names appear on the website should clear with Finance Office by the 8th of November, 2019. Only candidates who will have been cleared by the University Senate and Finance Office will appear in the final list and in the graduation booklet.

Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names

All graduands are requested to verify their names by 8th of November, 2019. Any requests for changes in spelling and order of names should be done within this period at the respective campus admissions office. The Senate-approved graduands’ list has been posted above and on the University website.

Rehearsal

Graduands attending the rehearsal must be seated by the stated hour and be in complete attire. All graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal at the Thika- Garissa Road Graduation Pavillion Grounds.

Academic Attire

Graduands are expected to be in full graduation attire for both the rehearsal and graduation ceremonies. The graduation gowns will be hired and will be collected from the respective Deans of Schools at the Main Campus, Thika and from the Examination Offices in respective campuses during office hours. The graduation gowns will be hired from 4th Nov 2019 to 25th Nov 2019. The hired gowns must be returned on or before 20th December 2019.

NB:
The hired graduation gowns must be returned on or before the deadline. Any delay in returning the gown will attract a daily charge of Ksh.500.

Punctuality

On the graduation day, all graduands will participate in the graduands’ procession in order of their school at 7.00 a.m. Graduands and their guests will be expected to have taken their seats by 8.00 a.m.
Those arriving late will not be allowed into the graduation grounds.

  1. Ave just read that we will be picking our certificates on 26th August 2019, and we are expecting to graduate on December, does it really work… Or there’s a misinterpretation of Information??

I’m so devastated 😭 my sister’s name was in the graduation list and as she tries to collect the graduation attire this morning she was told her name doesn’t appear in the graduation list yet she has cleared and already paid for the graduation fee and for the attire. Kindly help please since it’s really painful.
