Application for the Murang’a University of Technology(MUT) Work-Study Opportunities – 2025 Entry is now open for all outstanding Kenyan Students who wish to work while schooling.
Applicants are invited for the posts of interns at Murang’a University of Technology(MUT). The University is a public university located in Kenya.
In Support of the Government’s youth initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan labour market by giving young people exposure to the work place environment. This is to inform all students that applications for the University Work-Study Programme.
The office of the Dean of Students would like to announce WORK STUDY vacancies which will be open to all financially needy students who are in the current session (January-April 2025). Details on the requirements for work study considerations are captured in the application form.
MUT WORK-STUDY ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application Requirements & Eligibility
All students wishing to be considered for Work study MUST fulfill the following conditions:
- Submit a duly filled Work study Application forms within the set timelines
- Be enrolled into a full time Certificate, Diploma and Bachelors’ degree programme at Murang’a University of Technology during any semester in which assistance is received.
- Demonstrate a genuine need of financial assistance
- Have a record of sustained high academic achievement
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Not have been found guilty of a disciplinary offence within the last one year
- Provide written statements from two (2) referees who know their financial situation well. One of the referees should be a member of the Provincial Administration e.g. a local Chief, the other one a Priest or Kadhi and/or a lawyer. The statements should signed ,stamped and submitted clearly indicating the name of the applicant.
Important Note: Any student or person filling this Application form and knowingly gives false or misleading information whether in writing or by attaching herein a false document(s) shall lead to automatic disqualification and may be subjected to disciplinary action as per the rules and regulations guiding student conduct.
Application Procedure
Applicants should fill the attached application form and drop the duly filled form at the Directorate of Students’ Welfare office or send via email deanofstudents@dkut.ac.ke

- Applications for the Work Study Program can be obtained from the office of the Dean of Students.
- Students are encouraged to apply if they meet the financial criteria and are interested in on-campus employment.
NB: Kindly attach documentary evidence to prove your neediness i.e. Recommendation letter[s] from relevant offices religious leaders and other institutions/ schools/ departments ‘ death certificate, etc.
