This article contains information on the National Polytechnics, Technical & Vocational Colleges (TVET) and Private Technical /Business Studies Colleges 2020 Resumption Dates – Re-Opening Dates. It involves significant dates for the new Academic year.
As you are aware, face-to-face teaching and learning was suspended throughout the country due to the global pandemic on 13th March 2020 and all educational institutions were advised to embrace technology by changing delivery mode to online. At National Polytechnics, Technical & Vocational Colleges (TVET) and Private Technical /Business Studies Colleges, students were transited to the virtual learning platform for courses that do not require practicals.
Recently, the Ministry of Education in its circular to universities offering medicine, allowed the recall of finalists in the respective schools of medicine. Further, in consultation with regulatory bodies domesticated in various Government Ministries, the Ministry has allowed recall of students undertaking programmes that require practicals, so as to enable them to be at the same level with other students completing their courses online.
The National Polytechnics, Technical & Vocational Colleges (TVET) and Private Technical /Business Studies Colleges wishes to inform the following remaining groups of students that the commencement dates of the 2019/20 Academic Years are as follows:
