We are pleased to announce the reopening dates and readmission requirements for the 2024 academic session.
Maasai Mara University has announced the reopening of the institution as per the Senate meeting held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. All students are expected to take note of the scheduled dates for returning to the university for the continuation of academic activities.
Reopening and Lecture Dates
The university will reopen for various cohorts on the following dates:
- For all First, Second, and Fourth Year Students, including all students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme and all students undertaking Diploma and Certificate Programmes:
- Reporting Date: Sunday, March 17, 2024
- Commencement of Lectures: Monday, March 18, 2024
- For Third Year students – All Programmes except BSc. in Nursing students:

- Reporting Date: Friday, April 26, 2024
- Commencement of Lectures: Monday, April 29, 2024
Readmission Requirements
Before readmission to the university, the following requirements must be met:
- Clearance of any outstanding fees for the semester.
- Payment of a mandatory penalty of One Thousand (KShs. 1,000/=) Shillings for damages caused.
- Signing the bonding form that is available on the university website.
Please note that all payments should be made through the Jiunge App by the time of reporting. No student will be allowed to enter the University premises if they do not meet the reopening conditions as stipulated.
