Application for the UoN Mitsubishi Corporation International Scholarship – 2020/2021 Entry is now open by the Mitsubishi Corporation for all outstanding and needy students at the University of Nairobi (UON) in Kenya.
Needy, bright and deserving 1st, 2nd, and 3rdyear undergraduate Students who may wish to be considered for the above financial assistance should complete the application form from the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.
The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, previously designated as the Department of Geography, is the first and the oldest Department of Geography in all public and private universities in Kenya. It started as a Department of Geography in 1956 when the University of Nairobi was first established as the Royal Technical College. In 2005, the department was renamed Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. The department offers a wide range of academic programmes leading to Diploma, BA, BSc, BEd, MA, MSc and PhD degrees in diverse fields of geography and environmental studies.
The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in Kenya. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.
UON MITSUBISHI CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Scholars are selected on the following criteria:
- The beneficiaries MUST be pursuing BA/Bed in Geography and Environmental Studies or BSc in Environmental Conservation at the University of Nairobi.
