We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2023 Algerian Government Undergraduate scholarships for Ugandans is now open.
The Algerian Government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports, is inviting suitably qualified Ugandan scholars to apply for undergraduate scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year. This is an opportunity to pursue studies in various fields at Algerian Universities. Fields of Study
The scholarship slots are available in the following fields:
- Bsc. Science of Nature and Life (5 slots)
- Bsc Science of Matter (6 slots)
- Bsc Science of Earth and the Universe (10 slots)
- Bsc Geology –Geophysics and Urban Management Techniques (12 slots)
- Bsc Computer Science (5 slots)
- Bsc Human Sciences (2 slots)
Eligibility
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must:
- Have obtained your A-level results in 2022.
- Have a minimum of 2 Principal passes at D level in the subjects indicated for each field of study.
- Be below 25 years of age at the time of application.
- Have a letter of verification of ‘A’ Level results by UNEB.
- Have a Biometric Passport or evidence that it is in process.
- Have a Birth Certificate.
Application Procedure
To apply for this opportunity:
- Download the application form from the Ministry of Education and Sports website.
- Complete the application form and email it to: scholarships@education.go.ug.
- Alternatively, you can handwrite the application with a recent passport photo attached. The application should indicate age, sex, course, home district, telephone contact, email address, photocopies of academic documents and addressed to The Secretary, Central Scholarships Committee, Ministry of Education and Sports.
- Deliver your application to: Department of Admissions, Scholarship and Students Affairs, 1st Floor, Wing B, Legacy Towers, Kyadondo Road – KAMPALA.
Application Dates
The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 24th May 2023. The shortlist will be displayed on the Ministry of Education and Sports Website and on Notice Boards at Legacy Towers on Wednesday, 31st May 2023.
