ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY IN UGANDA (IUIU) 28TH GRADUATION LIST FOR DECEMBER 2020
The Office of the Academic Registrar, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), wishes to inform the 2019/2020 Graduands and the general public that the 28th Graduation Ceremony OF IUIU will be held on Saturday 19th December, 2020, at IUIU Females’ Campus, Kabojja, Kampala, starting at 8:00 A.M.
Because of the pandemic restrictions, the Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY (online) for all students except the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Diploma /Certificate programme Nursing/Midwifery. Graduands who have cleared all University fees including Graduation fees should go to the Females’ Campus for the Graduation Ceremony . A link for the Graduation Ceremony will be available on the IUIU Website by 17th December, 2020. The Ceremony will also be streamed live on Social media.

Examination Results
The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective Deans of Faculties/Schools during working hours.

Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
Ensure that your names are correctly spelt and are in the right order and spelling as they will appear on the Certificate and Official Transcripts (as per your National ID or Passport). Kindly liaise with your Department for confirmation.
Rehearsal
Graduands who wish to participate in the graduation ceremony MUST avail themselves for the rehearsals on (date is yet to be fixed). Please note that rehearsal is mandatory for participants; you should, therefore, make every effort to attend and MUST wear your academic dress.
Fees and Clearance
- Graduation fees for undergraduate is UGX. 313000 /US$ 100 and Masters and Post graduate Diploma UGX 375000/US$ 110 and Ph.D UGX 785000/ US$ 220 exclusive of bank charges. All Graduands must fill the graduation guideline form and submit it to the office of their respective Campus Academic Registrar official before 20th November, 2020. Graduation gowns will be prepared according to this list.
- Graduands should pay ALL their respective graduation fees in their respective campus accounts and present a bank deposit slip to the Bursary in
- Graduands who shall have paid ALL their University dues including graduation fees before the deadline shall appear in the graduation booklet and attend the graduation No one will be issued academic documents before full payment of all University dues including graduation fees.
- The deadline for paying graduation fees, University fees, and all academic requirements is 4th December 2020. Post graduate students must have submitted the error free bound thesis by this date in order to be included on the graduation list.
Academic Attire
Students who intend to graduate on the 19th December, 2020, should register for graduation and pick their gowns on 14th December 2020 from their Students from Main campus and Arna campus who wish to collect graduation gowns from King Fahad Plaza Liaison Office on Kampala Road should have registered their request with the Office of the Academic Registrar. No gowns will be sent without clearance of graduation fee and all University fees.
Punctuality & Invitation
The procession led by the Chairman of the University Council shall start at 09:00 AM. Once the congregation is officially constituted, all students and guests physically present may not leave the ceremony until the congregation is dissolved .
Additional Information
- All persons physically present at the ceremony must observe the Health Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and follow all rules and procedures of the organisers. The Islamic University in Uganda dress code shall be observed at all times during the graduation.
- Students who completed their studies in the previous years but were unable to graduate for different reasons shall be allowed to graduate upon satisfying the conditions herein stated.
- Gadgets like fire arms, large and heavy bags, radio communication, cameras, pipes, /cylindrical objects, packed items (foods and drinks inclusive), and or any other life endangering objects shall not be accepted in/on the graduation grounds.
