Application for the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Persons with Disabilities Scholarship for 2021 entry is now open for all disabled or special need students at the Makerere University Business School.
Makerere University Business School (MUBS) promotes earning by encouraging, supporting and granting scholarships to Persons With Disabilities (PWD) students at the undergraduate and postgraduate degree level for further studies. This will enable MUBS tap into its excellent Student’s for academic development. The scholarship will be offered to student that holds admission in a bachelor’s degree And ONE ( I) student that holds admission in an Ordinary Diploma Programme at MUBS Regional Campuses.
What does the Scholarship cover?
- The Scholarship will cover I00% tuition waiver but the beneficiary will be required lo pay the requisite functional fees;
- The beneficiary of the fellowship should not be on another Sponsorship scheme.
- The fellowship is valid for a period or one academic year and 15 renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance.
- The fellowship must be completed within (3) three years for Bachelors programmes and (2) two years for Ordinary Diploma programmes; retakes are not covered by the scholarship.
- Termination can be by either party when one party fails to meet the requirements of the fellowship
- The offer or the scholarship cannot be carried forward
Who is Eligible to Apply?
- One must posses an Admission Letter to one of the MUBS programmes for the current academic year.
- The scholarship will be offered to student that holds admission in a bachelor’s degree And ONE ( I) student that holds admission in an Ordinary Diploma Programme at MUBS Main Campus or its Regional Campuses in Jinja, Arun and Mbarara.
- One must be a MUBS student with a Disability; according lo the Nauonal Council for Disability.
- One must be a citizen of Uganda, not more than thirty (30) years of age (applicants for degree) or twenty six (26) years of age (applicants for Diploma programmes) at the time of application.
- The Candidate must provide their UNEB UCE and UACE Results Slips and Certificates or their equivalent and Diploma/ Degree transcripts/Certificates for verification.
How to Apply:
- Application forms can be picked from Block 5 .at the reception desk which started on February 15, 2021.
- All sections of the application forms must be carefully filled in, attached with relevant documentation and submitted at the reception desk of Block 5. Section D must be filled by the relevant officer and stamped.
- Applicants, whose forms are not filled properly as required or have failed to attach the relevant supporting documents shall be rejected.
