Application for the MUBS Scholarship for People with Disabilities in Uganda – 2019/2020 Entry is now open at the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Uganda.
Makerere University Business School (MUBS) through its initiative to increase access to high education for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) has set up a scheme to offer two scholarships to PWDs effective this academic year 2019/2020. The Scholarship will be offered to a candidate who has a current admission letter on a bachelor’s degree program jointly offered by Makerere University and MUBS and another candidate on an Ordinary Diploma program offered and taught at MUBS Main Campus or its Regional Campuses in Mbale, Jinja, Arua, and Mbarara.
This is to, therefore, advertise and call for suitable applicants to apply for MUBS Persons With Disabilities Scholarship scheme for 2024 Academic Year as per the attached application procedure.
MUBS SCHOLARSHIPS ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the MUBS Disabilities Scholarship, one MUST be;
- One must have an Admission Letter to one of the MUBS programs for the current academic year.
- One must be on a degree program jointly offered by Makerere University and MUBS or Ordinary Diploma program offered and taught at MUBS Main Campus or its Regional Campuses in Mbale, Jinja, Arua, and Mbarara.
- One must be an MUBS Student with a Disability; according to the National Council for Disability) Act 2003. a Disability is a functional limitation of daily life activities of an individual caused by physical, sensory or mental impairment and environmental barriers.
- One must be a citizen of Uganda, not more than (30) years of age (applicants for bachelor’s degree programmes) or twenty (24) years of age (applicants for ordinary diploma programmes) at the time of application.
The candidate must provide their Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), UCE and UACE Result slips and Certificates or their equivalent and Diploma transcripts/Certificates for verification.
MUBS SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Application forms can be picked from the School Registrar’s Office at Block 5. at the reception desk.
- All sections of the application forms must be carefully filled attached with relevant documentation and submitted at the reception desk of Block 5. Section D must be filled by the relevant officer and stamped.
- Applicants whose forms are not filled properly as required or have failed to attach the relevant supporting documents shall be rejected.
The application deadline is Friday, 1st November 2019.
Late submission will not be accepted.
