We are pleased and excited to announce to you that the Namibia University of Science and Technology, NUST Online Application for the 2024 academic year is now open for all interested and qualified applicants. We are not just making this announcement known but also providing various steps on how to apply online for the NUST admission.

Gather all the necessary documents and get ready to follow the steps on our website to a successful NUST online application. We will try as much as possible to make your application smooth and seamless. But before we proceed, remember this application is open to all prospective undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate students. The only thing you need right now to apply for admission to the prestigious Namibia University of Science and Technology is for you to be eligible and ready.   

The Management of the Namibia University of Science and Technology, NUST are no stranger to technology as they have made this application exclusively online unlike the rigorous task of going through the paper-based application (only when necessary). This is why they opened an application portal for all high school leavers and those trying to further their studies either through part- time or full time.

STEPS ON HOW TO APPLY ONLINE FOR NUST ADMISSION   

To use the NUST online application feature, you must have a working internet device, a valid email address which is not shared with another NUST applicant, your Namibian identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, and your passport number. Kindly follow the easy steps below to apply online for NUST (Namibia University of Science and Technology Online Application) admission:

STEP 1 – Apply Online   

  • Please apply online via the NUST Application Portal and click on the Admission Link. Click on “online application” and choose the type of application e.g. Undergraduate, Postgraduate etc.
  • Read the notes at the top of each page before you continue to the next page.
  • Some fields have drop-down lists to choose from.
  • Click on the “Help button” should you get stuck.
  • Part A (“Complete your Biographical Information”) and Part B (Create Your Pin Number) should be completed by FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS only. Should you already have a student number from Namibia University of Science and Technology, please login as a “Registered User”.
  • Our Admission Officers are on standby to assist you should you have any problems. You can send an email to admissions@nust.na
  • The system will then automatically take you to the STUDENT KIOSK to complete your application.
  • Kindly fill in all the necessary information like your Personal Details, Study Choices, References (for postgraduate students only), Domicilium Address, Residential Address, Postal Address, Contact Details, Demographic Details, Education, Indemnity and Undertaking and upload the necessary Documents.
  • When you are done, kindly click on the ‘Submit‘ button to get your application submitted.   

STEP 2 – Acknowledgement of Application   

  • You will receive an email confirming online submission of your application immediately.  
  • Within three working days, you should receive formal acknowledgment of your application along with your student number and log-in details.  
  • Note this acknowledgement does not mean you’ve been accepted or admitted to NUST.

STEP 3 – Upload Supporting Documents   

In order to consider your application, please upload every necessary supporting documents listed below on this article. If the application is incomplete, it may be declined by the University. 

STEP 4 – Acceptance of Offer   

When we update your application, you will receive an email communication. Please monitor your email account closely for updates. You can also check your status online with the log-in credentials that we will send you after you apply. We are not permitted to disclose your application status telephonically.

LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR NUST ONLINE APPLICATION   

The following documents must accompany your application:

All Applicants

  • Identity Document/ Birth Certificate (Namibian Citizens); Passport (non-Namibian citizens)
  • Latest School Results g. Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC), International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE) or for current Grade 12 learners, August Results.
  • Declaration and If you are under the age of 18, the form must be co-signed by legal guardian or parent

In addition to the documents mentioned above the following applicants must ALSO submit the following documents:

Postgraduate and Advanced Standing Applicants:

  • Qualification[s) obtained after Grade 12 [e.g. Diploma, Degree etc .);
  • Original Academic Record//transcript from the institution where you have studied as well as the complete
  • Applicants for Masters or Doctorate programmes should also attach a Curriculum Vitae and Motivational Letter or Proposal as per different programmes

Foreign applicants:

  • Latest qualification in original language;
  • Certified translations of all foreign language documents including the qualifications; and
  • Namibian Qualifications Authority (NOA) Evaluation if the qualification is obtained outside the SADC

Mature Age Entry Scheme Application Requirements:

  • Reference Letter from your employer[s).
  • Identity Document or Birth Certificate (Namibian Citizens);
  • Passport (non-Namibian citizens);
  • If applying manually, proof of payment (e.g. original bank deposit slip);
  • Latest school results eg. Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC), August results (current grade 12 learners);
  • Declaration and Undertaking.  If you are under the age of 18, the form must be co-signed by a legal guardian or parent;
  • Reference letter from employer(s) – Applicable to Mature Age Entry Scheme applicants only;
  • Certified copies of qualification(s) e.g. diploma, degree etc., Academic Record/Transcripts and complete syllabi – for Postgraduate or Advanced Standing Applicants;
  • Latest qualification in original language and a translation in English,  if the qualification is in a language other than English;  a NQA Evaluation of the qualification,  if it is obtained outside the SADC Region – Foreign Applicants
