The Pan African University (PAU) stands as a beacon of continental unity and educational excellence. Initiated by the visionary leaders of the African Union, PAU’s mission is not just about imparting education but creating a prosperous, integrated, and peaceful Africa. It’s an invitation to young and dynamic individuals from across Africa and its Diaspora to be a part of a transformative journey.
Pan African University Scholarships Eligibility
Masters Programmes:
- Age Criteria: Males up to 30 years and females up to 35 years.
- Educational Qualification: An undergraduate degree from an accredited university with at least a second class upper division or its equivalent in a pertinent field.
- Documents Required:
- Certified academic certificates and transcripts.
- Passport or National ID card.
- A clear colored passport-sized photograph (2cmx2cm).
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A recommendation letter from a former university lecturer.
- Names and contact details of three reference university lecturers.
Doctoral Programmes:
- Age Criteria: Males up to 35 years and females up to 40 years.
- Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from PAU or any globally acknowledged university.
- Additional Requirements:
- 3 to 4 page Research Concept Note.
- Recommendation letters from 2 Professors.
- Proficiency in at least two of the African Union’s official languages, specifically for candidates applying for the Master in Conference Interpreting and Translation programmes.
Pan African University Scholarships Application Procedure
- Starting the Process: Familiarize yourself with the conditions and then initiate the application by registering here.
- Confirmation: Upon registration, a confirmation link will be sent to your email (also check spam). Click on the link to proceed.
- Filling the Application: After logging in, proceed to the ‘Application’ page and fill in all the required data. Remember to save your progress, and once you’ve completed the form, hit the ‘FINISH’ button.
- Returning Applicants: If you couldn’t complete the application in one go, you can return and log in with your credentials to resume.
- Technical Assistance: If you encounter any technical issues during the process, refer to the FAQ page or get in touch with the technical support team mentioned there.
- Final Submission: Ensure all required documents are uploaded and submit your application by the stipulated deadline.

Mark your calendars! The final date for submitting completed applications with all supporting documents is September 10, 2023. Applications postdated after this date will not be entertained.
