The Road Traffic Management Corporation has enabled the online booking Portal for the private security industry in South Africa to register, make and re bookings. This service is to provide convenience to the public to:
The Authority’s mandate is to:
- promote a legitimate private security industry that acts in terms of the principles contained in the Constitution and other applicable laws;
- promote a private security industry that is characterised by professionalism, transparency, accountability, equity and accessibility;
- conduct an ongoing study and investigation of the rendering of security services and practices of security service providers;
- institute legal proceedings against transgressors of the security standards; receive and consider applications for registration and renewal of registration as a security service provider;
- suspend or withdraw the registration status of a security service provider;
- develop and maintain standards and regulate practices in connection with the occupation of security service providers and people in the employ of the industry;
- take steps to protect and assist security officers and other employees against exploitation or abuse;
- promote high standards in the training of security service providers and prospective security service providers;
- develop and maintain a computerised database to store information concerning the industry;
- provide information promoting and encouraging compliance with the security standards and the Code of Conduct for Security Service Providers;
- and determine, charge and collect fees for services rendered by the Authority.
HOW TO ACCESS THE PSIRA ONLINE BOOKING PORTAL TO LOGIN OR REGISTER
Psira Registration Process
In order to use the Psira website and services, you need to complete a registration process to obtain your own unique login name and password.
- Open a browser and go to https://onlineservices.psira.co.za/onlinebooking/bookingview to access the home page. Click on “NEW BOOKING” in the top MENU. You need to select your identity and then click on “Next” to proceed.
- Complete all the required information and click on “Register”. This will send the captured data to the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) System for verification.
- When you receive the activation message via your preferred method of contact, click on the link provided to activate your account.
- Use the username and temporary password provided in the email or SMS to log in to your new PSIRA account.
- After your first login, the system will prompt you to change your password.
How to Login as an Existing User
- Open your internet browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
- Go to PSIRA Online Portal to perform any of the services PSIRA has to offer
Forgotten your Password?
- To reset your password, fill in your registered email address and reset your password by clicking forgot password on the login page.

you need to apply properly to get date, e.g. if you haven’t receive psira otp pin that simply means you didnt book properly

Durban is fully booked till end of July and now the portal does not give you a chance to fill in your information,why don’t you do like other licenses who were extended since it is lockdown,how are we going to find jobs,what you are doing is cruel coz it’s level 1 now atleast take a certain number of walk ins, people are loosing their jobs because of this.

I’ve been trying the past 3 days to get hold of your offices at all your contact numbers but to no avail. Each time that i’m “NEXT IN LINE” for my call to be attended to the telephone line goes dead. This is very frustrating as i’m calling from a cellphone and have to hold for 15+ minutes at a time.
I am trying to get hold of your Bellville branch in Cape Town(Northern Suburbs of Cape Town) to get a date and time or their telephone number so that i can renew my Psira certificate as it has expired. The online booking continually shows “FULLY BOOKED”

This is not supposed to be happening, poor internet services why are the certificates expiring? And still psira is earning yearly in each security officer, and there is no job assistant for officers that loses jobs every year.
