SPU STUDENT EMAIL SYSTEM:
- Student Email Format: studentnumber@spu.ac.za — this is the official and mandatory channel for all university communications
- Access via: https://outlook.office.com — log in with your full student number as the username
- Initial Password: Spu@ followed by the last four digits of your student number (e.g. Spu@0001). Change your password on first login.
- SPU Wi-Fi: Use the same student number and initial password to connect to the SPU campus Wi-Fi network.
HOW TO OPEN AN EMAIL ADDRESS FOR COMMUNICATING WITH SPU
To sign up for Gmail, create a Google Account. You can use the username and password to sign in to Gmail and other Google products like YouTube, Google Play, and Google Drive.
- Go to the Google Account creation page.
- Follow the steps on the screen to set up your account.
- Use the account you created to sign in to Gmail.
To sign up for Yahoo, create a new account or use an existing email address from any email provider; you’ll just need to provide a password, date of birth, and a mobile number.
- Go to the Sign up page.
- Enter your info in the required fields.
- Click Continue and follow the onscreen prompts to verify your mobile phone number.
