The application for the Thungela Bursary for the academic year 2024/2024 is now open by Thungela for all South Africans in South Africa.
The Thungela hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2023/2024 Bursary. The Thungela has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students in the undergraduate level. Thungela has allocated a bursary fund specifically for the following fields below.
THUNGELA BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
The eligible courses are:
- Mining Engineering,
- Metallurgical Engineering,
- Geology,
- Electrical Engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Industrial Engineering
- Mineral/Mining Surveying.
Candidate Requirements
- Current 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Geology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Mineral/Mining Surveying.
- Applicants must be South African citizens.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THUNGELA BURSARY

Kindly attach the following documents:
- Your certified ID document.
- Your final Grade 11 results, stamped by your school or, if you have completed Grade 12, a certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate.
- A CV with all the relevant information.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
- Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 31st July 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
