REGIONAL MARITIME UNIVERSITY ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS

Application to RMU is basically online despite your preference. To become a student at the Regional Maritime University, you have to note the following:

Online Application Procedure
(I) DOMESTIC APPLICANTS
All applicants for the 2024 Academic Year admissions are required to use the Regional Maritime University [RMU] online application portal. The procedure for the online application process is as follows:
  • Make appropriate payment as indicated below at the various sales centres for the RMU E-Voucher:
Diploma programmes: GH¢120.00 OR $40.00
B.Sc. Programmes: GH¢150.00 OR $50.00
Postgraduate Programmes: GH¢210 OR $70.00
Sale Centers
  1. Regional Maritime University, Nungua – Accra, Cash Office
  2. All Branches of the Ghana Commercial Bank
  3. All Branches of Ecobank [foreign and local]
  4. All Regional and District Post Offices across Ghana
  • The E-Voucher contains the Pin and Serial Number required in completing the online form.
  • Access the online form by visiting the University’s online Admissions portal soon after payment.
  • A completed form is not considered until it is SUBMITTED.
  • Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before finally submitting their online applications. A form, once submitted, can be viewed, but cannot be edited.
  • Applicants must print out application summary; attach transcripts, certificates and all other relevant documents. These documents should be forwarded to the Academic Registrar.
  • Candidates are strongly advised to visit Courier Companies in their Countries for assistance towards the return of the application documents [see f].

(II) INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
  1. Log onto the Admissions portal (www.rmu.edu.gh/admissions)
  2. Click on International Applications and follow the instructions displayed on the page for the completion of the form.
  3. Applicants must print out application summary, attach transcripts, certificates and all other relevant documents. These documents should be sent to the Academic Registrar.

Note that no application will be processed without proof of payment of the fee.

REGIONAL MARITIME UNIVERSITY APPLICATION FEE

How to Make Application Fee Payment Using E-Voucher Service
  • Dial *887*18# on all networks
  • Enter RMU
  • Authorize payment
  • SMS of Voucher is sent to payer after successful payment
To Receive Payment:
  • Dial *887*18# on all networks
  • Select “Yes”
  • Retrieve E-Voucher
  • Details of E-Voucher are displayed

Regional Maritime University, RMU Application Deadline

  • The closing date for submission of applications is yet to be announced. Candidates should note that no application will be accepted after the deadline.
  • The Regional Maritime University Application Portal is expected to shut down on the same date at 11:59 PM.
