The Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) 2024/2025 admission requirement for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate levels is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, along with their general requirements.
For admission into programmes of study at the Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission:

Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Courses
Passed at least five subjects at the ordinary level and at least two subjects at the advanced level or their equivalents.
Ordinary Level Passes or Equivalent
- Ordinary Level of the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council
- Ordinary Level of the Associated Examinations Board’s General Certificate of Education
- Ordinary Level of the Cambridge School Certificate
- Ordinary Level of the East/West African Examinations Council
- Ordinary Level of the University of London’s General Certificate of Education
- and any other examination Boards that may be approved by the Senate from time to time.
Advanced Level Passes or Equivalent
- Advanced Level of the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council;
- Advanced Level of the Associated Examinations Board’s General Certificate of Education;
- Advanced Level of the Cambridge Higher School Certificate;
- Advanced Level of the East/West African Examinations Council
- Advanced Level of the University of London’s General Certificate of Education;
- and any other examination Boards that may be approved by the Senate from time to time.
GREAT ZIMBABWE UNIVERSITY (GZU) POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree programme
A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for
Duration of Programme: 1 Academic Year
Entry requirements for a Masters degree programme
A bachelor’s degree or postgraduate diploma from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for
Duration of the Programme: 2 Academic Years
Entry requirements for a DBA or PhD degree programme
Applicants must be holders of a Master’s degree or any other related programme from a recognised University. Practitioner Experience: Applicants must have management experience of at least three years pre- or post-Masters.
