HIT Online Application Eligibility
Local Candidates:
- Educational Prerequisites:
- Minimum 5 ‘O’ Level passes (grade ‘C’ or better), including Mathematics and English.
- At least two ‘A’ Level passes
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) are also considered.
- Duration:
- 4-year full-time program for undergraduate studies
- 2-year block release for postgraduate degrees
- Language:
- All courses are instructed in English.
- Infrastructure:

- While HIT provides extensive ICT facilities, students are encouraged to bring personal laptops or iPads to maximize the use of the institute’s Wi-Fi.
International Candidates:
- Document Prerequisites:
- Valid passport.
- Completed Application Form.
- Certificates validated by the appropriate authority
- Educational Systems:
- Cambridge System: Requires a minimum of five passes, including Mathematics and English. Plus, two A-Level passes in the chosen area or Nationally Accredited diplomas or HNDs
- Matric System: Passing in Mathematics and Science Subjects A bridging course of one year may be required.
- Other Systems: HIT assesses other educational systems on a case-by-case basis.

HIT Online Application Procedure
Online Application:
- Visit the HIT Application Portal.
- Click on ‘Online Application’.
- Fill out the application form diligently.
- Pay the requisite application fee.
- Upload certified PDF copies of relevant documents:
- O-Level and A-Level Certificates
- Birth Certificate.
- National ID or Passport.
- Diploma/Degree/Masters Transcript(s).
- Submit the online form. Note: Physical submission of the application is also required.
Physical Application:
- Download and print the application form.
- Alternatively, collect the form from HIT’s Admissions Office.
- Submit the completed form, ensuring it’s accompanied by:
- Relevant certified educational documents.
- Bank deposit slip for the application fee.

Application Dates
Applications typically commence in mid-January each year. Lectures start in August. The closing date for late submissions is at the end of March, applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
