India-Africa Maitri Scholarship for Zambian Students 2024/2025

We are pleased to announce the application for the 2024–2025 India–Africa Maitri Scholarship for Zambian students.


Applications are invited from suitably qualified Zambians that meet the minimum India-Africa Maitri Scholarship Scheme (I-AM SCHOLARSHIP) scheme requirements outlined. The scheme should have six Mater 2024-2025 academic years available in the following disciplines: two (02) Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and five (05) Masters of Science in Master of Technology in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

INDIA-AFRICA MAITRI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME ELIGIBILITY

Applicants should:

Undergraduate Applicants:

  • Be a Zambian citizen with a Green National Registration Card (NRC)
  • Be a School Leaver
  • Have 6 Credits in English, Mathematics and Sciences
  • Be aged 18 and 23 by 31st July, by September, 2024

Master’s Applicants:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science;
  • Have a GPA of 3.5 and above

CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

Candidates should meet their own costs for:

  • Application payment fee
  • Any travel not adequately covered by the scholarship

DURATION

  • Undergraduate programmes are 4 years, and masters programmes are 2 years.

HOW TO APPLY FOR INDIA-AFRICA MAITRI SCHOLARSHIP

Applications should submit:

  • A typed application letter responding to the advertisement, clearly stating the field of study desired, age, email address and mobile phone number for ease of communication;
  • Curriculum Vitae, Certified Photocopies of full Educational Certificates (Undergraduate degree for Masters applicants), Transcript/Statement of results certified by ECZ, National Registration Card (NRC), and Colour photocopy of pages 2 and 3 of ECZ passport;
  • Passport size photos (originals, passport/size/qualify against a light background, two (2) colour);
  • A study plan of synopsis of summary details of the course and how the intended course of study will enhance one’s contribution to Zambia’s development (200 words for Undergraduates and 750 words for Masters applicants only);
  • Employer’s Recommendation letter stating that they would be granted leave to take up offers if selected for Masters applicants.

It is a requirement by the host country that all nominated candidates undergo comprehensive medical examinations including the HIV test, Hepatitis B test and Covid-19 vaccination. Nominated candidates must note that last minute withdrawal will attract serious sanctions from HELSB which may include being blacklisted.
