JARAMOGI OGINGA ODINGA UNIVERSITY (JOOUST) 8TH GRADUATION LIST FOR DEC 2020
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology wishes to inform ALL candidates who qualified for the conferment of various degrees and award of diplomas and certificates of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in the Academic year 2022/2023 that the VIRTUAL GRADUATION CEREMONY will take place on Friday 18th December 2020 starting at 8.00 am at the Main Campus in Bondo Town. Graduands are advised to check below for the full list of graduands.
The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor, vice chancellor and other council members will award Diplomas and Certificates and confer Degrees.
The information regarding preparations for the ceremony is detailed below:
Examination Results
It is the responsibility of each graduand to confirm his/her examination results from their respective Dean’s Offices.
List of Graduands
The list will be posted as soon as it is approved. Continuously keep on confirming with your Department if you have met the Graduation requirements.
Any potential graduand whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his/her School immediately.
Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
Potential Graduands are expected to confirm the order of their names from the website: www.jooust.ac.ke . Corrections of the order of names to be sent to racademic@jooust.ac.ke. The order of names is: Surname or family names, First name and lastly middle or maiden name.
Rehearsal
Students who will be selected to physically represent others from each school during the Virtual Graduation ceremony together with all the PhD Graduands must attend the virtual rehearsal on 17th December at 11.00 am. Meeting Links and log credentials shall be sent individually to the invited persons.
Clearance & Fees
Prospective graduands are advised to clear any fee arrears or charges. Those who will not have met all the requirements for graduation will not be included in the graduation list.
All Fees and other charges have to be cleared in order to graduate. All candidates who wish to graduate must fill the clearance form online and thereafter, send it through the student portal for approval by various officers in the University.
- Students who missed graduation previously must apply to graduate by filling a form ‘Request to graduate’ to be downloaded from the website and submitted to the respective Deans of schools for the names to be included in this year’s graduation list.
Graduands will be required to pay a Convocation fee as indicated below:
- PhD – Kshs.6,000/-
- Masters – Kshs.5,000/-
- Bachelors – Kshs.4,000/-
- Diploma – Kshs.3,500/-
- Certificate – Kshs.3,000/-
These fees should be paid to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology Equity Bank Account No. 0750294239156, Bondo Branch.
Academic Attire
Graduands who wish be issued with graduation gowns may collect them from the respective Dean’s Offices on Tuesday, 15th December, 2020. The Gowns shall be returned latest by 15th January 2023, failure to which they will attract charges.
Punctuality & Invitation Cards
The graduation ceremony shall start promptly at 8.00 am, live streamed through social media platforms.
