MOUNT KENYA UNIVERSITY (MKU) 24TH GRADUATION LIST FOR 2023
Just like in 2021, the Chancellor, Mount Kenya University, Prof. John Struthers, on behalf of the University Council, Management Board, and Senate, wishes to inform all our esteemed graduands who have qualified for the conferment of degrees and various university awards that the 24th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the university main campus.
Information regarding preparations for the ceremony is detailed below:
Examination Results
The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective deans of faculties or schools during working hours.

Any potential graduate whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his or her school immediately. All students aspiring to graduate are requested to ensure that they meet the requirements for graduation.
Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
All graduates are requested to verify their names. Any requests for changes in spelling and order of names should be made within this period at the respective campus admissions office. The Senate-approved graduands’ list will be posted above and on the university’s website.
Clearance and Fees
All graduates should be cleared by Mount Kenya University’s Accounts Office before registering for graduation. Any outstanding fees must be paid before the deadline. Only graduates cleared by the accounts office will be allowed to register for graduation. Online clearance for graduation should be done through the University Management Information System.
Rehearsal
All graduates intending to participate in the ceremony will attend the online rehearsal on [date and time will be announced soon].
Academic Attire
Graduands are expected to be in full graduation attire for both the rehearsal and graduation ceremonies. The graduation gowns will be hired from [date and time will be announced soon]. The gowns will be collected from the respective deans of schools at the Main Campus, Thika, and from the examination offices on the respective campuses during office hours.
The hired graduation gowns must be returned on or before [date and time will be announced soon]. Any delay in returning the gown will attract a daily charge of Ksh 500.
Punctuality
On graduation day, all graduands will participate in the graduands’ procession in order of their school at 7 a.m.
Collection of Certificate
The university congratulates all the graduates who have been successfully conferred degrees and awarded diplomas and certificates during the past university graduation ceremonies. The graduates are notified that they are expected to collect their certificates within a period of one year after graduation. Certificates not collected for subsequent years after graduation attract an annual storage fee of Ksh. 1,200.
