The Kenya Methodist University takes this opportunity to congratulate you for your admission in the degree programme which was earlier communicated to you in your letter of admission. This memo is to notify all Government Sponsored Students (KUCCPs 2020) and Privately Sponsored Students admitted for September intake that the registration process began on Monday 31st August to Saturday 5th September 2020. Due to global Pandemic in the country and the restrictions of face to face interactions in schools and other academic institutions, registration, orientation and classes for your 1st Semester 2020 of study in KeMU will be done on-line.

For you to attend on-line classes in KeMU, you will be required to have the following:

  • A laptop, desktop computer or any other device/Smart phone where you can access on-line classes
  • A stable internet connection or data bundles that will enable you to be on-line for NB. Register your mobile telephone number with the University for a subsidized Data plan from Safaricom to enable you attend classes with ease

KEMU STUDENTS ONLINE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES AND PORTAL

For you to register for your program of study, you are required to do the following:
  • Make payment of fees to one of the bank accounts given in your admission letter /Joining Instruction forms/ fees schedule  and obtain an official bank receipt
  • Login to KeMU website at www.kemu.ke and you will find a banner written registration for newly admitted KUCCPs/PSSPs students for September intake
  • Click on the link given which will direct you to a registration form which you will be required to complete fully on-line and send it to us when you have completed all the sections required
  • Use the registration number given in your admission letter and type your official name in the order it appears in your KCSE result slip
  • For those students wishing to change their programme of study, there is a section in the registration form which require you to indicate the programme you want to change Note: there are limited slots available for this purpose and this will be considered in lieu of the available slots per programme and you meeting the grade and cluster requirements. Some programmes are already full.
  • Once registered,you will receive further details andinstructions which will guide you on how to access our ERP system for registration of courses and how tologin to your student portal
  • You will be required to give your current mobile telephone number and once admitted you will also be issued with an official KeMU email account and a password which you will be using to login to on-line classes
  • Orientation will be done on-line in the week beginning Monday 7th September to Friday 11th September Orientation schedule will be posted in KeMU website www.kemu.ac.ke in the section written “In the News”
  • All official communications and notices to students from this University are made in our website www.kemu. ke. Please make a point of visiting KeMU website regularly to find out whether there is any information concerning the newly admitted students

According to the Kenyan Government directive. the University is expected to re-open for face to face teaching/learning in January 2023 or otherwise as directed and you will be required to report to the KeMU Campus indicated in your admission letter. Further details on university re-opening will be given in our website. For those students who are supposed to report in January 2023, you can go ahead and register with the University but your classes will begin as indicated in your admission letter.
