UNEB Examination Timetable 2026 | PLE, UCE, UACE
This article provides information on the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Examination Timetable for 2026 (PLE, UCE, UACE). School leavers and candidates are to take note.
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) conducts national examinations at three levels each year. The 2026 examination timetable has been released for all registered candidates. The timetable contains the scheduled dates, sessions, and subjects for all examinations.
UNEB conducts national examinations at the following three levels:
- Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) – for Primary 7 candidates
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) – for Senior 4 candidates
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) – for Senior 6 candidates

UNEB EXAM TIMETABLE FOR 2026
- All first session examination papers will start at 8:00 a.m. The start time for second session examination papers is as indicated on the timetable.
- The time allowed for each paper is indicated against the name of the paper, and NO EXTRA TIME IS TO BE ALLOWED.
- Supervisors and Invigilators are asked to ensure that candidates have written their names, index numbers and have signed on their answer scripts before collecting them.

WHERE TO ACCESS THE OFFICIAL TIMETABLE
Candidates can obtain the official and detailed subject timetable through:
- UNEB official website: www.uneb.ac.ug
- School administration offices
- Examination centres
Important Note: The detailed subject timetable is released officially by UNEB and may vary slightly each year. Candidates should always confirm via the official UNEB portal or their school administration.
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
- Avail yourself for searching outside the examination room and be seated at your desk 30 minutes before the time fixed for the examination. The first session starts at 8:00 a.m.
- A candidate who arrives late will be required to give a satisfactory reason to the Supervisor. Only in exceptional circumstances will a paper be given to any candidate who is more than half an hour late.
- Check the question paper you have been given to confirm it is the paper you registered for.
- Write your name, index number, sign and write the date of the examination on the answer booklet.
- Write your responses in black or blue ink. Pencils should only be used for diagrams.
- Read each question carefully before answering.
- As soon as notice is given to stop, ensure your name, index number, signature and date are written on the answer booklet, then hand it to the supervisor.
