Inspire Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition 2026
We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2026 Inspire Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition is now open.
Get ready to ignite your entrepreneurial spirit with the Inspire Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition! The 2026 event is calling for innovative minds to step forward and showcase their business acumen. Under the theme “Your Business. Your Stage,” this competition is an excellent opportunity to bring your business ideas to life and win your share of R320,000 in prizes.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTER-COLLEGE COMPETITION ELIGIBILITYÂ
Participants eligible for this exciting competition must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled at any of the 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa for the 2026 academic year.
- Registered as a full-time, part-time, or distance learning student.
- Possess a business idea or already have an existing business with commercial potential.
- Must own at least 50% of the business being submitted for the competition.
- Employees of any of the 50 public TVET colleges are not eligible to participate.

Categories
The competition is divided into four categories, allowing for a broad range of business ideas and ventures, including:
- Business Idea — for students with a profitable business concept ready to launch
- Tech Business — for existing businesses offering technology-related products or services
- Trade Business — for existing skilled trades businesses in Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Carpentry, etc.
- General Business — for existing businesses that don’t fit into the other categories

ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTER-COLLEGE COMPETITION APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The steps to enter the competition are straightforward:
- Register an account using your name and email address.
- Await a confirmation email containing the details necessary to log in to your account.
- Begin filling out the entry form, which you can return to and complete at your convenience.
- Once the form is completed, review your answers and submit your entry to officially enter the competition.
- You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your submission.

APPLICATION DATES
- Entries Open: 9 March – 24 April 2026
- Internal Rounds: 4 May – 30 June 2026
- Regional Rounds: 7 – 21 August 2026
- National Finals: September 2026
The closing deadline for entries is 24 April 2026. Participants are encouraged to register and begin their application as early as possible to ensure they have ample time to complete and submit their entries.
