The application for the KZN Department Of EDTEA Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by KZN Department Of EDTEA for all South Africans in South Africa.  

Scholarship

The KZN Department Of EDTEA hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. The KZN Department Of EDTEA has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students at the undergraduate level. KZN Department Of EDTEA has allocated a bursary fund specifically for the following fields below. 

KZN DEPARTMENT OF EDTEA BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY 

Eligible courses are: 

  • Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering

Candidate Requirements 

  • Unemployed youth from disadvantaged backgrounds and who are residents of KwaZulu Natal Province to pursue careers in the field of Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Students planning to register or who are already registered in the field of Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering either at the University of Witwatersrand (WITS) or University of Pretoria (UP).
  • Must be between age 15 -34 years.

HOW TO APPLY FOR KZN DEPARTMENT OF EDTEA BURSARY 

Applications must be submitted online at: 

Kindly attach the following documents: 

  • Completed Bursary Application Form (obtainable from www.kznedtea.gov.za);
  • One-page motivation letter on why you should be given a bursary;
  • Proof of residence in KwaZulu-Natal (e.g. Statement of Water, lights, Rates, Police Affidavit, letter from traditional authority or local councillor);
  • Parents/Guardian Certified copy of ID;
  • Applicant certified copy of ID;
  • Grade 12 results to be emailed immediately after they are announced;
  • Letter or any communication from WITS or UP of acceptance for Grade 12 Learners;
  • If already registered at WITS or UP, full academic record to be attached; and
  • Parents or Guardians Proof of Income documentation (Salary payslips, bank statements etc.) or a letter from the Department of Labour or an Affidavit from parent/s stating that they are unemployed.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS 

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 31st October 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
