The application for the Collins Chabane Mayoral Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by Collins Chabane Mayoral for all South Africans in South Africa.  

Scholarship

The Collins Chabane Mayoral hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. The Collins Chabane Mayoral has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students at the undergraduate level. Collins Chabane Mayoral has allocated a bursary fund specifically for the following fields below. 

COLLINS CHABANE MAYORAL BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY 

Eligible courses are: 

  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Town Planning
  • Information Technology
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Economists
  • Law
  • Tourism
  • Agriculture
  • Health: Inspectors and Environmental Science

Candidate Requirements 

  • Current Grade 12 learners must submit their final Grade 11 results (Mathematics, Science and English with 60% pass rate), stamped by the school. 
  • Learners that completed Grade 12, certified copy of Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science and English with 60% pass rate. 
  • Learners that applied and have been accepted at a university – 1st year Diploma/Degree Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering, certified copy of Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science and English with 60% pass rate and acceptance letter at a university. 

HOW TO APPLY FOR COLLINS CHABANE MAYORAL BURSARY 

Applications must be submitted online at: 

  • The Collins Chabane Mayoral Bursary Application form for 2023 can be obtained from and addressed to the Office of the Mayor: Collins Chabane Local Municipality; DCO Building; Hospital Street; Malamulele; 0982

Kindly attach the following documents: 

  • Prescribed bursary application form;
  • Motivation letter of about 150 words on why you think you should receive the bursary;
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Certified copies of (both) parents’ / guardians’ income;
  • Certified copy of matric results or certificate;
  • Certified copy of South African identity document;
  • Proof of registration at tertiary institution;
  • Proof of residence within Collins Chabane Municipal area;
  • In the case of applicants who state they have a disability, provide proof from a registered medical doctor or clinic or hospital.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS 

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 1st November 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
