The application for the WBS African Energy Leadership Centre (AELC) & The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) Bursary for the academic year 2024 is now open by WBS African Energy Leadership Centre (AELC) & The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) for all South Africans in South Africa.  

Scholarship

The WBS African Energy Leadership Centre (AELC) & The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. The WBS African Energy Leadership Centre (AELC) has set-up a tertiary bursary fund to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the finance sector. It is intended for tertiary students at the postgraduate level. WBS African Energy Leadership Centre (AELC) has allocated a bursary fund specifically for the following fields below.

The number of Energy Leadership programmes through Wits Business School are listed below:

  • 20 – Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Leadership
  • 10 – Master of Management in Energy Leadership
  • – PhD – specialising in Energy Leadership

These bursaries will cover registration and tuition fees. Bursaries are only available for the 2024 academic year.

WBS AFRICAN ENERGY LEADERSHIP CENTRE (AELC) BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY 

Successful applicants will:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Warrant financial assistance

Previously disadvantaged South African citizens will receive preference. Applicants will also be qualified based on academic merit.

HOW TO APPLY FOR WBS AFRICAN ENERGY LEADERSHIP CENTRE (AELC) BURSARY 

Applications will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis and at the sole discretion of the Programme Director for the African Energy Leadership Centre at Wits Business School. The School reserves the right not to award bursaries.

Successful applicants will sign and enter into a bursary agreement detailing conditions of acceptance, including the repayment of the bursary in the event of failure to complete the course. No bursary amounts will be off-set against a student’s academic fees unless such a bursary agreement has been signed by the student concerned. The timing of the disbursement of the bursary will be at the discretion of Wits Business School.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS 

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 09 December 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
