The Ministry of Education and Sports in Uganda proudly presents an outstanding opportunity for deserving Ugandan scholars. The aim is to sponsor the brightest minds to pursue undergraduate courses in various fields at prominent Algerian universities for the academic year 2023/2024.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 principal passes at ‘A’ Level in the essential subjects.
• Age must be below 25 at the time of application.
• ‘A’ Level results should have been obtained in 2022.
• Possession of a passport, evidence of application, and a birth certificate.
• Candidates already on government sponsorship need not apply.
• Those previously nominated as reserves in the first group can still apply.

Terms of Scholarship:

• Purchase a one-way air ticket to Algeria. The government will provide the return ticket after study completion.
• Undertake a one-year French language course.

Application Procedure:

• Download the application form from the Ministry of Education and Sports website.
• Completed application forms can be emailed to scholarships@education.go.ug.
• Alternatively, handwritten applications with a recent passport photo can be submitted. Indicate age, gender, course, home district, telephone contact, email address, and attach photocopies of academic documents.
