The WRSETA Bursary Applications for ‘Missing Middle’ students are now open, offering a valuable opportunity for those falling within a specific household income bracket to receive financial support for their studies.
This initiative is part of the university’s commitment to providing support to students who find themselves financially constrained yet do not qualify for NSFAS funding. Remember to submit your applications on time and ensure they are complete to avoid disqualification.
WRSETA Missing Middle Bursary Eligibility
To qualify as a ‘Missing Middle’ student and be eligible for this bursary, applicants must have a combined annual household income of R350,000 – R600,000. Additional academic requirements include the following:
- A minimum average of 60% must be held by the applicant.
- The applicant must be registered for an Advanced Diploma in the various fields listed.

- This bursary is facilitated by the Tshwane University of Technology, a vibrant educational institution celebrating 20 years of technological advancement and empowerment.
Application Procedure
Interested students must:
- Meet all the stipulated requirements.
- Access the application form online at TUT WRSETA portal.
- Compile all required documents, including a certified copy of ID, proof of registration for the 2024 academic year, and parents’ salary advice.
- Email the documents by the given deadline to missingmiddle@tut.ac.za.
