This is to inform all students who qualified for conferment of degrees and award of diplomas of Kenya Methodist University during the 2022/2023 academic year that the 20th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, 14th November 2020 from 9.00 a.m. at the Graduation Square, Main Campus, Meru.
Detailed information regarding the preparations for the ceremony is as follows:
Declaration of Intent to Graduate
All prospective graduands are required to complete the On-line Declaration of Intent to Graduate Form available in the in the KeMU website at www.kemu.ac.ke . Duly completed form should be received by Registrar Academic Affairs’ office latest Friday 9th October 2020.
Incomplete Records
All graduands with incomplete academic records such as research thesis, projects, attachment, clinicals, practicum, teaching practice and any other course (s) with missing marks MUST be sorted by their Chairs of Department by Friday 16th October 2020. Any marks received after this date will be considered for next graduation.
Examination Results
The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective Deans of Faculties/Schools during working hours.
Fees Clearance
All prospective graduands are advised that it is mandatory to clear their financial obligations with the University and get a copy of fee clearance statement through their student portal by Friday 16th October 2020.
Graduation Fees
A mandatory non-refundable fee as stated below must be paid not later than Monday 26th October 2020. Payments will be made to the University bank accounts at any of the branches of the banks listed below:

Confirmation of Order of Names
Graduands are required to verify with the list of cleared students from the office of Registrar Academic Affairs that will be posted on-line and updated on a daily basis as from Friday 23rd October 2020 in KeMU website: www.kemu.ac.ke. Details pertaining to the spelling and order of your name, programme of study, specialization must be checked and corrections made where necessary. This is the same order that will appear i n your transcripts and certificate. Any change (s) of the order of names after the graduation date will attract a penalty fee of Kenya Shillings Two thousand (KShs. 2,000) only.
Academic Attire
Academic attire will be available for issue from Monday 2nd November to Tuesday 10th November 2020 at your respective campus. The attire must be retu rned by Monday 30th November 2020 after wh ich a fine of Kshs.500 (Kenya shilling five hundred only) per day.
Graduation Booklet
Official graduation e-booklet will be available for download in KeMU Website on Tuesday 10th November 2020 at www.kemu.ac.ke/2020graduationbooklet
Rehearsal
Graduands wishing to participate i n the ceremony MUST attend an On-line Rehearsal and Graduation Commissioning Service that will be broadcasted from Main Campus on Friday, 13th November 2020 via google meets and KeMU facebook live. All Graduands are requested to be on line by 1. 45 pm on Friday 13th November 2020. Rehearsal and commissioning service will begin at exactly 2.00 pm. A link to enable you login for rehearsal will be sent to your student portal by Thursday 12th November 2020.
Graduation Ceremony
All graduands are expected to login to google meets and face book live by 8.45 am on Saturday 14th November 2020. The event will also be broadcasted live on National Television . A Graduation link to enable you login will be sent to your student portal on Thursday 12th November 2020.
Certificates and Transcripts
Certificate and final Transcripts will be issued as per the schedule available in the University Website (www.kemu.ac.ke) on Monday December 14th 2020.
