Capricorn College ICT Chairperson Position: How to Apply
Capricorn Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College has opened applications for the role of ICT Steering Committee Chairperson.
This opportunity is aimed at an experienced professional who can guide the college’s information and communication technology direction, governance, and risk management. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning the college’s ICT strategies with institutional goals, innovation, and national standards.

CAPRICORN TVET COLLEGE ICT CHAIRPERSON POSITION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Must be a registered member of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA).
- One or more of the following will be an added advantage: CGEIT, CISA, COBIT, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, TOGAF.
Work Experience:
5 to 10 years’ senior management experience in areas such as:
- IT governance and compliance
- Cybersecurity
- Enterprise architecture
- IT risk management
- ICT strategy development
- Policy frameworks and implementation
- Oversight roles in ICT/Audit Committees (especially in the public sector)
SALARY EXPECTED
- Contract Duration: 3 years.
- Meetings: Four statutory meetings per year (additional meetings may be required).
- Compensation: Based on National Treasury-approved rates, including refundable expenses aligned with Department of Higher Education and Training policies.
