ETDP-SETA CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements & Eligibility (role-by-role summary)

1. Provincial Skills Advisor — Eastern Cape (Ref. 1930/25) & KwaZulu-Natal (Ref. 1930/26)

  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Education/Training & Development, Public Administration, Business Management or Project Management.
  • Project management certificate/diploma advantageous if the degree doesn’t include PM.
  • ≥5 years’ experience in skills development (ETD sector) incl. ≥3 years in project-management implementation.
  • Strong project lifecycle skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk, finance, QA), stakeholder management, monitoring & evaluation, document management.
  • Knowledge of SETA environment and relevant Acts/regs.
  • Valid driver’s licence mandatory.

2. Education, Training & Development Quality Assurance Officer (ETDQA) — Limpopo (Ref. 1930/27)

  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in ETD / Public or Business Management/Administration.
  • Quality-assurance / ODETDP or TQM qualifications advantageous.
  • ≈4 years’ experience in QA/accreditation/verification/assessment/moderation.
  • QCTO & NQF knowledge helpful; IMS & MS Office; driver’s licence mandatory.

  • Skills Development Officer (SDO) — Eastern Cape (Ref. 1930/28)
  • Matric + National Diploma (NQF 6) in ETD/HRD/Business/Public/Project Management.
  • ≥3 years’ ETD experience (≥2 years project administration).
  • MIS & MS Office skills, stakeholder liaison, willingness to travel and work outside hours; driver’s licence mandatory.

3. Provincial Receptionist & Switchboard Operator — Eastern Cape (Ref. 1930/29)

  • Matric (NQF 4). Switchboard certificate advantageous.
  • ≥3 years receptionist/switchboard experience; MS Office literacy; excellent customer service & admin skills.
